I use Acura MDX 2008, i noticed my transmission jerks when i change from 'P' to 'D', also it gives a little nod/jerk when downshifting after you slow down. No fault codes related to transmission after scanning. Changed transmission oil(Original) ATF & all the engine & transmission seats, with complete shafts(both side) yet problem persist. Though the Car shifts very well. What could be the problem & solution.

Check your engine and gearbox mounts. One of them might be bad which is causing your issues

This gear is prone to failure, it will require a tech to escort and Install product, none of which I am ready to do.

Please treat as urgent.i need candid opinion on how to go about fixing the gear box problem of my car.Mexhanic claims fibred burnt in it,that is the reason for the failure and that an attempt to repair only the fibre would be useless as it is a 50/50 chance of being good

There are guys that sells gearbox in Lagos. They will sell the oil, and the mechanic to install it will be sent from Lagos as well.

Scan your car. The gear for the 4 cylinder is about 300k in Lagos. oil and mechanic that will fix takes it to over 400k.

Did you do any mechanic work recently? Did you drive inside water?

Yes i did mechanic work
The gear oil was licking the mechanic said he need to remove the sump and use gum to gum it
That was day before yesterday
He leave it for about 8hrs before he loose the sump
The car drives well after that
But started malfunctioning yesterday morning after driving it for about 30min to a location

That is the issue. That 13pin u250e gear is very sensitive. Dirt or gum particles has entered it. Except you can get a very good gear specialist to open and clean out every contamination. Again, what gear oil did he use to top it?

I normally use Abro gear oil
Plss does it mean my gear has been damaged and need replacement
I’m scared of that because it’s so costly

Chaiii for Camry? The right oil is Toyota WS. You have contaminated the gear. Maybe a flush will help but I doubt. It is cheaper to try than buy new gear.

Never use abro for any car gear. It is a killer

I am not a mech. But I have little experience on car maintenance. Search the profiles of autologic, nurey, Gazzuzz, kingreign, kasif for their contact. They will be of immense help to you

Hi guys.

I just got a 2012 hyundai elantra from my company. The vehicle had been parked for about 12 months.
Noticed that the vehicle is sluggish on reverse. The mechanic thinks I need to change the gearbox oil and filters.

Please could anyone recommend a gearbox specialist on the mainland that can help me check this?

Hello! Pls my car (Toyota, Corolla 2005) drove through a flooded road and water got into the engine, gear and cabin, because I didn't have the cash to fix it immediately, I towed it home after a roadside mechanic did a rudimentary drain. I left it for like 3 weeks. Before I started fixing the issues bit by bit. I've replaced:
Brainbox
Injector mouth
VVTI Solenoid
Replaced motor oil + gear oil
The four spark plugs.
Finally the motor Don start, now the fresh gear oil got mixed up with water again (something about what's left in the converter). The gear isn't working anymore Sha, so I'm offered the option of fixing the gear or replacing the gear.
Which is the best line of action my ogas in the house? Kashif Gazzuzz

You should have flushed the gear and engine oil like 3 times to fully get the water out of the system.
Try flushing the gear oil and refill with the right oil then keep fingers crossed if it would work.
