LAGOS—Under the leadership of the President General, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, market traders kept Lagos markets shut yesterday to hold a rally at the Onikan statdium in support of Akinwunmi Ambode, the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the state, ahead of the elections.

Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo declared that all members of the Lagos state chapter of the Association of Commodity Market Women and Men of Nigeria, have pledged their support for Ambode in a bid to sustain the growth and development that has been witnessed all over the state under the APC.

“We market women and men make up a majority among voters. I can assure you that we have our voters cards, and with this support and our continued prayers, victory is definitely assured for Ambode and all APC candidates in this general elections”, Tinubu-Ojo said.

Ambode, who was joined at the event by his wife, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, thanked the leadership and members of the market women and men for their overwhelming support, and promised to keep Lagos working for them and all its citizens. Also present at the event was the Babaloja of Lagos, Alhaji Wasiu Atanda Balogun, and Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, Senator representing Lagos Central.

Impunity over impunity, it is time for Lagosians to free themselve from the shackles of One man (Emperor Tinubu).
Never in the history of the Yoruba race, not even during the height of the Oyo empire has one man, one single man pocketed the collective wealth of a Yoruba state , now he want to transcend into national affairs so as to own 90% of Nigeria the same way he did in Lagos.
It is time to show Tinubu where he belongs.

Lagos is not under the shackles of any one man.
Being a political titan doesn't necessarily mean you run and control or have shackled a state.
Your claims are exaggerated
APC is doing extremely well in Lagos, and that progress will be continuous .... Ambode will take over by the special grace of God
Stop deceiving yourself and other people ... Tinubu is chilling, Lagos is moving forward, those who are complaining are fu..cking moro...ns!

Iya olooja wielding her ancient traditional powers. Those powers are there to be used.
You know that there is something fundamentally wrong with Jonathan if Obasanjo and tinubu can shelf their differences and become friends.
