Yoruba politics is slightly more advanced than the rest. Individually, Yorubas are more independent when it comes to voting. As popular as Awolowo was in the first republic, a sizable proportion of Yorubas still voted for his opposition. Even today, as dominant as APC appear to be in Lagos, they are sweating right now about the governorship election.

This tells you that in the SW, you're never going to get the laughable 98% votes posted for a single party like you do in the SS and SE.

Did you not also notice the same voting pattern in the North? Did not a certain candidate win over 90% votes in some states in the North? Why didn't you also mention that to atleast make your statement balanced?

But I must point that it will amount to deceit if we think we are united as a people. I am glad I belong to Jonathan's camp though tribal affiliation wasn't my primary purpose. I commend my Igbo Cousins worldwide along with all those that didn't vote along ethnic line irrespective of who they vote for. Everyone to his conscience anyway.

Good comment but for OBJ we knew he tied his best atlest coupled with risen to issues at appropriate time but for GEJ it is string us in the face that a lot is going wrong and our president is too meek to handle issues and please to blame democracy for that he is just unfit for the job
