Good afternoon to everyone down there in my beloved country Nigeria. I would like to know if it is now possible to exchange traveller's cheque or use International credit cards in Nigeria.

The[b] last time[/b] I was in Nigeria I could not change any of the the traveller's cheque I took down to Nigeria neither use my International Visa Credit Card. I foung this very disgraceful because how is it possible for one to reach one's own country and hear from all places, even foreign banks based in Nigeria that[b] traveller's cheque aren't acceptable in Nigeria[/b] due to fraudsters.

That is why I am asking if traveller's cheques or International visa credit cards are now acceptable. Thanks.

I don't think you would be able to use your VISA Card in Nigeria. I'll try to promote this thread so we can collect more information on the convertibility of traveller's cheques.

Yes Credit cards are accepted, at some hotels and some shopping malls in Kano Lagos and Abuja.

Travellers cheques can be easily converted to cash at banks, all you need is your passport.
