If you have an opinion share it here, stop sitting on the fence and sulking like a child.
You are always prone to this childish act, if you can share your opinion get your ass out here.

Africa is not a country and shouldn’t be referred to as one or put in the context of one while making an argument

Ambush along marte to dikwa road(presently don't know the sit-rep).

The usual occurrence has started again. Late September/ October a high level of Ambush. Late October/November attacks on Military Garrisoned Towns.

Rain don Dey finish.

There is so much tension here as ISWAP has launched two attacks in a week 15Km out of my location.

This irritates me too, just Nigeria alone has hundreds of tribes that are not similar in any way

5 people within 1 family will have different views on any given subject. Imagine then arrogating to oneself the presumption to ascribe a singular view amongst almost 1 billion people.

yes it is, acquiring a stakes means part ownership no owner wants his company to fold, this move means more acquisition by the army, more research, more tech development and possibly transfer between DICON and PROFORCE.. so it's a nice move..

You are absolutely right, sadly you are not seeing the big picture, Africans dont think the way you do, Africans here mean (law enforcement & criminals), you strongly believe Bandits deserve a day in court, I believe same too but reality is different, those that designed law & order never envisaged that a criminal could walk with just a phone call, they never envisaged a judicial system & prosecutor could be in bed, it doesn't happen anywhere in the world, therefore, you can not juxtapose a near utopia with an Anomie, two different scenarios.

2ndly, the way terrorists are infesting Africa today unlike 30yrs ago is alarming, apart from the fact most African countries lack the capacity to deal with it, they have very little knowledge how they should turn the table around, believe it or not, if something drastic doesn't happen in the nearest future, Africa will become the global terror headquarters. That will pose a significant risk to Africans in Africa & the world at large, in the last 20 yrs, we have learnt that Kinetic & non kinetic approach has not been effective therefore, it's time Deterrence came on board.

I must warn you at this point that deterrence & its corresponding collateral damage is not a friendly approach, its Barbaric it is designed to put the fear of God in the enemy, to re-think his actions keeping consequence in mind.
Like President Roosevelt said after Pearl Harbor attacks, "America & her allies have become naked in the Pacific, the Actions of the Japanese requires no friendly engagement but deterrence, they said Japan is untouchable, tell that to the Marines who will strike the heart of Tokyo"
Later on the US responded by taking over 300,000 lives in one nuclear pop, a strategy that has dettered Japan for nearly 100yrs. Remember that Japan wasn't at war with the US before the Pearl harbour incident, like it or not, if the designers of law & order, with water tight Judicial system employ Barbaric deterrence when necessary why shouldn't Africans?

In a more recent example, when the Taliban refused to negotiate with Trump's administration, CIA revealed they were emboldened by a sinister Pakistani cross border group named Haqqani rebels, Trump demanded that the MOAB, 2nd most lethal non nuclear untested bomb be dropped on them as a deterrence, Pakistani govt later reported that the fire that ensued took two weeks to be put out after which it became impossible to differentiate humans with sand, by humans we mean the rebels, co-conspirators & collateral damages.

If the United state that epitomises law and order unleash deterrence when necessary, why not Africans? if your answer is yes, then there should be no debate, if "NO"then ask yourself why US didn't arrest emperor Hirohito & try him for Pearl habour instead of the nuclear option, why was Sirajuddin Haqqani not arrested and tried for his support of the Taliban in the spirit of law & order?
A very good submission but "Africans don't think they way you do" might not be appropriate.

Sources report another ambush by Islamic State militants on a Nigerian army convoy on the Dikwa-Marthe highway in Borno state. They talk about twenty killed soldiers. No other details were reported. Recall that the last ambush on Nigerian soldiers took place on September 15 in the same state, as a result of which 12 to 18 soldiers were killed. We are waiting for details.

signal was sent to the nigeria army station in damboa about the movement of 3 guntruck fully loaded with terrorist moving toward the base early this week. it was also share to marte and dikwa. but lake of situation awareness and mrap lead to this. the military should better start working on this ambush of a thing. they no long attack fob or base they have now move to ambush. revenging after any attack is not the best but working on situation awareness , intel mrap will be good .

The terrorists have adapted to air attacks. All their ambushes are carried out by foot soldiers armed with heavy and light weapons. No ISR will pick them up because they conceal themselves well in thick bushes. Since Nigeria Army has refused to adapt, this will keep happening.

This is not a well informed post sorry.
I am restraining myself from calling it a stupid post.

The Super Tucanoes have barely started operations.

We have written so much about carelessness and lack of adequate situational awareness by troops in transit and on patrol. Maybe they should start court martialing officers who are not following procedures BUT to wail ineffectually and un contextually about Super Tucano is not a smart reaction sorry

Thermal sensors will pick them.
Even MRAPs can be disabled in carefully planned ambushes. NA needs to look into reinforcing trainings that will help against ambushes. This time next year, the military should ensure vegetation growth isn't allowed near roads to reduce the chances of concealment within effective firing range. The military needs to invest in technologies that will reduce the use of human patrols as well as help in detecting ambushes.
