Don't be discouraged by whatever you're starting with. I started my job career with Strategic Outsourcing Limited(SOL) too until I decided to go do something of my own. The good part of the whole deal with them is that they always check their data base and still call you up when better thing comes up.

Believe me. Your instinct is leading you aright. Even though you did not give details of the job like salary and job description, I can guess your lack of enthusiasm stems from poor salary and a possible lack of progress on this job. If you take this job, you will be unhappy for the duration you stay on it and will eventually quit to go in search of something better. All those so called marketing jobs are the new ways companies enslave job seekers these days. All the best in whatever decision you eventually take.

Just becuase u graduated. With a 2:1 from a private university is not a meal ticket to the best jobs

I have a feeling that your indecision is coming from the fact that you paid (your school fees in d private university) through your nose and you're wondering if the pay (probably around 40k) is worth it.

Is the coy a small sized or medium sized one? Are you sure the HR isn't a member of nairaland and probably has seen this grin. But candid advice is you can take up the job and believe in God that it would be a stepping stone to getting the job of your dream.

...Some people's comments are so exasperating that I found it so pointless and preposterous to make a rejoinder. So because there are no jobs in Nigeria, a graduate of a reputable university with 2:1 for that matter should accept a marketing job of 20k all in the name of '"starting point"? Taaaaaaa! I think the first question should be about the salary and then the targets....don't get it twisted, many jobs are not worth it.
Hmmm...to get a better job in Nigeria, you may need experience and with just 10k salary you are already gathering experience. I started my career with SOL as well. Though am not there yet, but am far more than where I used to be.

I have a job now, but still not happi . I saw an open interview on nairaland which i went for since it didn't cost me any transportfare. Later last week i was invited for a second stage interview which took place yesterday, but right now i jst got a successfull message to come for documentation at their office on monday with pregnancy test from a reputable hospital.

My problem now is that i finished from a private university with a 2:1 result and am thinking if it's worth it. The name of the coy is sol, marketing position.
pls i need ur advice.
babe u beta grap it or leave it.

You are yet to take the job and you have lost your peace,it means God is telling you that there is no way there..this is how your maker speaks to you particularly when you are still a spiritual infant. Don't go for the job because there are more to what eyes can see therein.
- I want to challenge you to follow your mind and you will see what God will do in your life. Better opportunity lies ahead.

I have been in a similar situation, so free her. I had an interview somewhere and I was offered all that I asked for, but I was having many doubt in my mind and I lost some good sleep thinking about the offer. I think the most bothersome concern was that I may work extra hours for the first 6 months, maybe 8-7pm on some days as they are just starting up. I had to decline the offer.
So its an inner alarm if you are not feeling good about it

The truth is bitter, see Ade if an individual sees your flaws and gives good instructions that will add value to your life, please accept it and work on those flaws, we learn everyday.
