iregun is to keep referring to or taking advantage of favour or some benevolence rendered to a person in the past. for instance your saved a friend from debt or assisted him in school when he was poor, maybe he is better than you or even at par with you, if you now go about saying that you picked him from gutter, blabla-------, o ti nse iregun niyen.

It is not always in the negative sha, you can se iregun if someone is becoming overtly ungrateful and want to tum against you, especially family members, you can remind that he should treat you with some respect, because what goes around comes around.

Sugbon mo ro wipe IREGUN is close to REPROACH. but reproach is almost in the negative always, while iregun can be either positive or negative depending on the situation.
