GEJ is limited by capacity to proffer a solution to a practice that has been there for over 400 years. How many thousands of Almajiri schools can he build? Why should the Almajiri be treated differently? Who is even an Almajiri? At least I have a degree in Western education, would I reject the Amajiri tag in it's real meaning? Is Dangote or Kwankwaso an Almajiri? What's the Almajiri's view of himself and you? Is Almajiri only a beggar? Aren't there beggars elsewhere? Are they Almajiri too?

Don't expect an easy answer. The almajiri is not necessarily somebody who doesn't go to Western school. You'll be surprised that those who were once Almajiris constitute a significant number of the richest and the most educated people from the north.

Providing free and compulsory education for children is one thing, enforcing it is another .
