One of the best lecturers at the university that produced me in Nigeria, the baba got his master's from the open University of California in the 1970s/80s. If lecturing interests you, and before you begin that open university master's, check that some schools in Nigeria, especially schools of your choice, accept open university master's for a PhD. As you know, you will eventually need a PhD to progress in your lecturing journey.

Primary school and secondary school, you need Bachelor in education. Lecturer job in the university/poly, you dont need degree in education if you want to lecture in a department/faculty different from the faculty of education.

Hello, you didn't state what you want to lecture. Let me play, assume you want to lecture accounting, my advice would be to do a PgDip then Master's in accounting

Decide on the biology related course and immediately start a master's in it and then a PhD. During your master's, you may be asked to take some upper level undergraduate courses that you didn't do with the faculty of science students during your undergrad degree. These courses are meant to fill any gaps. Your BEd won't stop you from lecturing in the faculty of science. Can't begin to name the number of people with Bed who're profs today outside of the faculty of education.

But in all of these, your performance has to be strong.
