Certified System and Network Administrator (CSNA)

Course content:

Basic Network Infrastructure

 Designing a cabled network
 Extending the cabled network for mobile users (Wireless networking)
 Extending the wireless coverage area (Access point and repeater configuration)
 Folder and printer sharing in a peer-to-peer network
 Remote desktop connection (Connection to a client station remotely in a LAN)

Server Management (Active Directory)

 Installing Active Directory on Windows server 2008
 Setting up remote desktop to accessing the Domain Controllers (DCs)
 Creating Organizational Units(OUs), User Accounts, Computer Accounts and Groups.
 Sharing network resources on servers
 How to lock down desktop background, removable drives, control panel and software installation using Group Policy Object (GPO)
 Installing softwares to group of machines at a time from the domain controller
 Network administration delegation
 Backup solutions (File recovery)
 Reducing a single point of failure(Setting up a basic redundant network)
 Monitoring, Auditing and defragmenting active directory database.

Benefit(s):
At the completion of the program, students are expected to be able to design and manage a single site/branch domain network.


Certified System and Network Professional (CSNP)

Prerequisite: CSNA/Windows server 2008 Active Directory

Course(s):
 CCNA
 Windows server 2008 Network Infrastructure
 Windows server 2008 Administration

Benefits(s):
Students should be able to design and manage multi-sites network under the same administrative control (Autonomous system) using standard design approach. Certifications under this program are CCNA and MCITP.



Certified Network Security and Penetration Engineer (CNSPE)
Prerequisite: CSNA and CCNA
Course(s):
 CCNA Security
 Ethical Hacking

Benefits(s):
Students should be able to add another layered approach to network security through IPS, IDS and Firewall and also understand the different techniques and tools necessary in network hacking. Certifications under this program are C|EH and CCNA Security.



Certified Network Integration Expert (CNIE)
Prerequisite: CSNA and CCNA
Course(s):
 CCNA voice
 CCNP
Benefit(s):
Students should be able to design and maintain a VOIP network and also be able to integrate this into a data network under one single network infrastructure. Also they should be able to design, manage and troubleshoot multi-sites network under different administrative control. Certifications under this program are CCNA voice and CCNP.
