   i cant just explain what is going on,Whenever im preparing boiled rice i would be thinking im timing it right,but after it must have steamed., and even i have verify it is well cooked by having some taste.,this same rice i cooked when eating it later i notice one problem or the other in it ,either half cook or too soft .,i need your help for advices for im confuse now and i feel like stop boiling rice., Hey.   .   .  .,dont get me wrong,im a Kitchen_worm!,im good in cooking but this dayz im having some probs! on how to boil  common rice!.Shame!! .

Buy parboiled rice and rice cooker with automatic shut off.

It depends on the kind of rice.Some rice get softer really fast so U have to make sure u put a lil bit of water.Some is the total oppisite.

At first add small amount of water.When the water dried off,check it to see if its soft.If it still has seeds in it then U should add a lil more water!!

Buy a rice cooker. 7 cups unlce ben's rice and make sure your water level is on the 7 cup level. With the automatc shut off you should be fine. How can you be african self and you cannot boil rice

I used to have the same problem when I lived in the dorm. I love me some rice so now what I do is buy those Uncle Ben's boil-in-bag rice only need to be microwaved and in five mins you good to go.

Its much easier and i hear the rice comes out well done almost everytime.

Your best bet is to buy a rice cooker

My dear boiled rice is the easiest dish to prepare. All you need to do is to wash the rice and put it on the fire. Now here's the timing. If you're using an electric stove, then it should be ready in 30 minutes time. If you're using a gas cooker, then 35-40 minutes should do the magic. But if you're using a kerosene stove, then the quantity of kerosene and size of the stove ropes would determine how long it would take. I hope I made sense.

I think it's the water issue. The best thing to do is not too stir it all the time. Just not too much water and when it's drying up, put a lil' more so you can monitor how soft it gets.

I think ur problem is lack of concentration or may be u are always troubled xpecially when u ar in the kitchen or u ar too anxious to eat the rice cos is ur best food.
just concentrate when cooking and check the rice u are cooking to know the type very well. u can also ask the sller of the rice how to go about the cooking cos it may be a special rice 4 special pple like u
