(2a)
(i)monocropping can defined as the system of planting one form of crops on a piece of land. E.g cassava platation, maize plantation.
(ii)mixed cropping can defined as the system  of planting two or more crops on a piece of land at a time e.g planting of maize and cassava.
(iii)mixed farming can be defined as the system of farming through which two or more farming  practices are being carried out. This is the farming of rearing of animals and also cultivating a piece of land for farming. Such farming are of immense benefits as the waste of such animals  serve as organic manure for the crops, while the crops left-over after harvest serve as source of feeds for farm animals.
(iv)shifting cultivation can be defined as the syetm of moving from one piece of land to another, this promotes the soil fertility as the soil regains its nutrients quickly. This act or process preserves the soil fertility within the soil. i.e the crops will be quite different from the one that will be planted in another year.
(v)crop rotation can be defined as the process of rotating crops being planted on a piece of land, in other to prevent fertility of the soil. By ensuring that the heavy crops are not planted continuously without allowing a light feeder crops being planted. Hence, heavy crops such as cassava are not continuously planted because much soil nutrients are being used up during the period of growth.

(iii)thinning can be defined as the process of weeding out or removing unhealthy grown crops from the population of so many crowded grown up crops, in other to give room for the healthy growth.
(iv)seed rate: this is the process of measuring the potency of the crops with the viability germination of the seed.

(iv)vector: this are the living organisms which are capable of carrying diseases and also harbour harmful diseases on their bodies.
(v)disease: this is the effect of attack on the living host, the attack might be caused by a bacteria, virus, protozoan etc.
