if u didn't backup your data, you might lose it cos mehn, ure flashing that phone to get rid of that virus. I'm guessing it's an android. I've heard of hijacks like this for Mac... I never knew it happened on droid.
I saw the same thing while I was surfing the net last night but my phone's anti-virus was able to take care of it. It heated up pretty bad and I thought I was going to lose it.

How sure are you that it is a Virus? Or you just want to play with our heads this morning? I havent experienced or heard about your predicament before, is it an Android, Windows or Iphone? Most of the OS on the listed phones dont get Virus, and if so be it, why dont you do a hard reset on it?

First of all, what phone are you using .. By this I mean what o.s is your phone running ? Android , iOS , bb10, Linux .... What O.S exactly is your phone on ? This type of attack is usually a malware attack and it's mostly gotten from porn sites and some so called 'free download sites' , I find it very surprising that your phone was attacked , this type of attack happens mostly to windows based computers and he solution is simply to enter task manager and disable any strange process that's running underground , however for any real help we need to know the phone you are using and possibly snapshots of the message ... This is the first time I am witnessing a malware attack on a mobile device ... Guess the hackers have stepped up their game lol

Flash that device right now, sell it immediately, then go and buy a BLACKBERRY Phone especially BB10-the most secured device on planet earth grin grin grin

For you mind.

Android is secure even more than blackberry if you do these things

Buy from notable company
Don't root
Don't try custom rom
Don't download outside google play store
Always off your usb debugging and installation from unknown source.

LMAO @bolden grin you nor lie ya hahahaha @OP sorray ya! Boot to recovery and back up your stuff and format the phone. Saves you stress

indigene:

First do a hard rest by removing the battery, and wait for about 5 minutes, if it is the un-removable type, simply visit a qualified phone repair technician, who will pry your device cover open, as to remove the battery terminals, and re-solder same after 5-10 minutes.
Issues like this happens when one visits porn sites and click adverts for free s.x, am not saying you do. Such sites are havens for hackers.

In terms of encryption , android does not even come 500 miles near blackberry , o.s 7 above is most likely the most secure devices on earth , have you heard of anyone 'rooting' or 'hacking' blackberry before ..... In terms of security iOS is the most secure on earth , that's why if an iphone is iCloud locked , it renders the phone virtually unusable to any person on earth ... But if an android is stolen, all you have to do is enter safe mode and the rest as they say is history

That's called a Ransomware. There are a lots of variants on Windows although we in Nigeria are not usually targeted in the attacks probably due to the payment options.
I'm guessing you'll have to flash your phone and lose your data or you pay the ransome.
You probably got it by installing a fake app like the kind they prompt you to install on porn sites and the lot.
Re: My Phone Has Been Locked! By A Virus!! by Nobody: 10:42am On Jun 14, 2015
Dude had been attacked by an fbi virus.
Caused by trying to open a video probably a porn or something.

1. Restart your phone to safe mode.

Note: “Safe Mode” on Phone starts up without loading any third-party add-ons and different devices have different ways to access safe mode.

For example:

For Samsung Galaxy S4: 1. Power down. 2. Turn on and repeatedly tap the soft-button for “Menu.”

For Samsung Galaxy S3 and others: 1. Power down. 2. Turn on, then press and hold Volume Down (Galaxy S3 and others), Volume Up (HTC One and others), or Volume Down and Volume Up together (various Motorola devices) when the vendor’s logo appears.

If you have managed to select Safe Mode, you will see the text “Safe Mode” at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Android-Safe-Mode

2. Once you have put your phone in safe mode, contact an expert for further removal instruction.

Now as we know that Android smartphones are used by tens of thousands of users around the world, those cyber criminals won’t miss this wonderful chance to creat all kinds of viruses to infect the phones in order to reach their evil goals. Their purpose is simple, just scamming as much as money from those infected phones owners. If your Android smartphone is locked, and you get a message on the screen from a law enforcement agency(FBI, Australian Federal Police, Metropolitan Police, U.S. Department of Justice), forcing you to pay a fine and threatening to lock your phone forever if you can’t pay it at a limited time. If the terrible situation occurs to you, then your Android phone is probably infected with a kind of malware namely Trojan Koler. The virus is widely distributed on the internet. People usually get the virus through downloading and installed a so-called “video player” app. And the virus is secretly hidden in it. Fortunately, FBI Virus doesn’t really scramble any of your data or exfiltrate audio and video as it claims; it merely locks your phone with a pop-over browser window that quickly reappears if you try to get clear of it. Users have to get rid of it without any delay in case the phone is completely screwed up.

Note: Manual removal is a skillful and risky job, if any mistakes are made in the process, you may damage your phone immediately.

1). Watch out for your battery. A device draining easily is a red flag for you. This could indicate that there’s a malware or types of virus which is infecting your device. Check from time to time. That’s the best way of dealing with the problem.
2). Use passwords or pins which are strong enough. If your pattern is so easy, then others can access it. You just have to be careful. Who knows someone might be jealous on you? It will always be smart to be cautious. You can use application to help you be secured like the Lock Pro folder.
3). Un-root your device if you happened to root them. That will make it more secured.

Conclusion

Australian Federal Police Ukash Virus is believed to be a member from the Ukash family. It has so far been created into different versions to attack PCs or android phone in different areas but mostly in Australia. These virus screens will act as real warnings from authorities. They will claim that you have downloaded something illegal or distributed banned pornography on the Internet which you may not have done any. But since you are now violating laws, your computer is locked. If it is android phone then it displays “attention your device has been locked”. Specific articles of violations will be elaborated one after another on the blocking screens trying to convince you that they are legit. By convincing you that your android phone or your computer is blocked by the real Australian Federal Police, this Ukash virus will be able to get you to pay the requested AUD $100 via Ukash in the end. If you pay, your cell phone or your computer will still be locked by the virus. But there are a few circumstances that computers will be unlocked after the payment is entered. However, the Ukash virus still lives inside the systems waiting for its second chance to pop up and scam you all over again. You should remember that the real government department will not publish such messages and will not charge you online, so do not believe anything this Australian Federal Police Ukash Virus says when you see this kind of message, and you need to remove it as fast as you can. If you just let the virus stay in your computer or your android phone, it may cause more problems including stealing system data or freezing your computer or cell phone completely. So please do not waste your time, remove this virus completely before it made potential damage to your computer or your android phone.
