THE 8TH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, THE CONSPIRACY.

If truly, a household will remain peaceful until the bastards attain adulthood, then the downpour in the Peoples Democratic Party which led to a forceful coexistence of the wet PDP Pigeons with the then fast growing Chicks in the All Progressives Congress (APC), all in a bid to dominate the corridors of power and control the decision making mercenaries of the nation, ought not to have been received with utter shock because growth is imminent.

Having considered the numerous anti-party moves that was credited to the Senator Bukola Saraki led caucus which consist of aggrieved Senators and embattled defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party in the ranks and files of the All Progressives Congress and also the seconded nomination at the inaugural sitting of the 8th National Assembly which brought in Senator Bukola Saraki (Kwara State) of the All Progressives Congress as the President of the Nigerian 8th Senate, in a house session with Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party as majority, one should be convinced that the estimated decision at the floor of the 8th National Assembly was well staged managed and executed.

In a bid to defy the supremacy of the All Progressives Congress, the Senator Bukola Saraki led caucus in the All Progressives Congress snubbed the timely invitation, disregarded the decisions of the national leadership of their party and violated provisions of the party’s constitution by going into an alliance with embattled Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party in other to make Sen. Bukola Saraki the President of the Nigerian 8th Senate and to also return Sen. Ike Ekweremadu (Enugu, PDP) who has been serving in the National Assembly since May 29, 2003 and doubled as Deputy Senate President of the Nigerian 7th Senate back to office, position PDP Senators as Chairmen of sensitive and most reputable committees in the house and possibly make Senator David Mark (Benue, PDP) the Senate Majority leader, if by chance few APC Senators are successfully convinced to defect to the PDP.

It was reported by a reliable source that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress strived to manage the crises that has to do with arriving at a consensus candidate for the position of the Senate President but the Senator Bukola Saraki led caucus was hell bent on boycotting the process as laid down by the leadership of the party, all in the bid to jettison the efforts of the All Progressives Congress and in fulfillment of their personal ambitions.

For Nigerians who reside with the believe that the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate President and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Speaker of the House of Representatives, as against Senator Lawan Ahmad (Yobe, APC) and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (Lagos, APC) who were perceived as his preferred candidates, as a blow below the belt for Asiwaju (Sen.) Bola Ahmed Tinubu (National Leader, APC and Former Lagos State Governor), it is very important to make it very bold that the elections at the Nigerian Legislative arms has absolutely nothing to do with the national enigma who has lived his entire life in excellent public service and pursuance of a better life for the oppressed Nigerian masses.

I must say that I seem to be lost in the triangle of people who believe that the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as President of the National Assembly and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Speaker of the House of Representatives will undermine Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s affluence in the ranks and files of the All Progressives Congress, his national relevance and perhaps his global heroic status based on the widespread falsehood by members of the Peoples Democratic Party who are yet to live above the pains of the defeat from the last general elections.

Conclusively, I am sure that Nigerians watch keenly but it is also imminent to state that the conspiracy by embattled PDP defectors in the APC which produced Sen. Bukola Saraki as President of the 8th National Assembly, as against the supremacy of his political party has all the tendencies of phasing-out our national leadership from the expected deliverables, if the illegality is not reversed by a competent court of law, for past and present public officials will reference an incumbent Senate President who is also standing trial that has to do with abuse of office and financial mishandling of the State’s treasury with the Economic Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC).

In addition, I must also say that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s progressive roles in building the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) into a regional party in the South West, later across regions and later proposed a merger to the CPC, ANPP and Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha (Imo State) led faction of the APGA, which was successful and eventually sunk the 16years unproductive leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at various States and at the Federal level, has nothing but been absolutely absorbed in history and will stand the test of time. Perhaps, Senator Bukola Saraki’s crass determination to occupy the prestigious office of the Senate President is to seek immunity from legal prosecutions for his corruption cases and further delve our country into the ocean of corruption.
