His failures will probably be blamed on Maigari or the NFF
you will hear things like they are not giving him free hand to choose players like they gave teh oyinbos
or they are not paying the bonus blah blah blah

Hope he succeeds though

Emeka Nwani has been appointed NPL media head.
I'm happy for him. He has given so much to the Nigerian league

NFF suspends Premier League kick off

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has decided to put on hold the commencement of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) scheduled to begin on September 25, Naijaligue..com can reveal.
Rising from its inaugural meeting on Thursday, the football federation announced through one of its board members, Chris Green, that the proposed kick date for the NPL is no longer viable.
It explained that the suspension of the top-flight is to allow the Nigerian FA resolve outstanding issues concerning the Premier League.
Green stated that the NFF wants to resolve the relegation dispute involving Bayelsa United, Sharks Football Club and Wikki Tourists.
Also, the country’s football house is expected to look into the troubled NPL chairmanship now occupied by Davidson Owumi and disputed by Bayelsa United chairman, Victor Baribote Rumson.

Warri Wolves signs new coach

Premier League side, Warri Wolves, has signed on two new coaches to replace Lawrence Akpokona.
The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) official website exclusively gathered that the coaches are currently with the team in Asaba where it is on pre-season preparation for the new season.
The technical adviser of the team is Paul Aigbogun, who is a Nigerian-British born citizen, while the chief coach is former Shooting Stars’ handler, Franklin Howard.
Warri Wolves failed to get a continental ticket last season and officials said they want to prepare very well so that they can get into the continent at the end of the coming season.
Both coaches have signed season-long contracts that will last for the duration of the 2010/2011 campaign.

NPL to unveil title sponsor this month
The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) could in a matter of days reveal the identity of the title sponsor for the league, Naijaligue..com understands.
It has been revealed that discussions have been ongoing between the representatives of the potential sponsor and the leadership of the Premier League.
A source in the NPL hinted that the loose ends of the deal is being tied to ensure that no grey areas are left unattended to before the package is officially unveiled to the press and the public.
The official disclosed that the deal between the NPL and the prospective title sponsor should be concluded in a matter of a week and unveiled before the start of the new Premier League season, which kicks off on September 25.
“In a matter of days we will see who the sponsors become for the coming season. We are still discussing with the sponsors, and we are hoping that in the next one or two weeks everything about the deal will be concluded for us to officially name the sponsors.
“But the sponsors will be known before the league starts on September 25 because we have spoken at length and certain areas are just being agreed upon to make sure that all agreements in the deal is met,” Naijaligue..com was informed.
There are already speculations that the NPL is into talks with a telecommunications firm on becoming the title sponsor for the Premier League.
Globacom Nigeria Limited, it will be recalled, had been sponsor for the past four seasons before there was contractual breakdown last season.
The second national carrier is alleged to owe the Premier League about N923 million of sponsorship for last season.

even when you want to rep Naija clubs, it's so hard to get their merchandise. They seriously need to do something about it. They can make money from it. Enyimba and Heartland are trying as regards merchandising. They have Caps and Jerseys even though its difficult to get.
Crown FC have appointed former Flying Eagles coach, Ganiyu Salami, as its head coach as they prepare for the new season
