The first state a President visits after inauguration is highly significant and symbolic, and a lot of meaning can be read into it! If he had wanted to make a statement he could have visited Bayelsa first, or even any south east state.....like Imo for instance!

If my memory serves me well, even Yar'Adua didn't take the south east seriously and only visited Imo once.....and that was after tongues started wagging about why he doesn't want to visit any state in the south east! Meanwhile he was all over the north for one reason or the other!
