Please don't laugh when you go through my profile and see that in the past three weeks, I've opened almost four threads on different agricultural products.

The first thought that might come to your mind is that "This guy don swear say him must farm by fire by force" grin

But the fact remains that I am fascinated by agriculture, how the food we eat is produced and the "power" of agriculture.

Don't ask me what I mean when I enclosed power. cool

So two days back, on exactly the same day I planted watermelon, I equally planted cucumber

Thanks to Jasper7, Olamimo12 and some other peeps, I garnered enough knowledge of planting cucumber and I set out at once to cultivate it here in Rivers State in small quantity though.

Last week, I made my ridges for the cucumber... On Monday, I bought the Cucumber seeds from Agritropics at Oilmill bus stop via the help of Soloxam.

On Wednesday 17th June 2015, I planted the cucumber seeds.

Picture is that of the ridges made for planting the cucumber seeds.

I planted them four seeds per hole, I feet spacing between them.

Since they would be staked/trellised, I didn't see the need for much spacing.

Today would make it the 3red day since planting. No sign of germinating yet.

Thank God for the slight rain today. No need for watering.

Morning everyone, Pavore9, I sight you Sir.

I was told by a very good boss that I should have gotten the Murano F1 variety of cucumber seeds. It's not too late for me to do that. All I need to do is to prepare another portion of land and plant side by side.

This way, I can be able to compare and contrast between the two.

Sir Jasper7, I'd love to visit your farms in Owerri. Port Harcourt is not too far....

Just doing my morning patrol as l have not been too available in the recent. Like you said it is not too late to get the other variety. Just hope that as you are capturing the day to day growth on camera, you are also entering your day to day observation and weather condition in a diary as it would be very helpful.
