I swear some people need their heads examined and have shown they are certainly living in a fools' paradise. Same Nigerians who get their arses whipped by soldiers on a daily basis, forced corporal punishments by soldiers, public and private property recklessly destroyed by soldiers on rampage, dehumanizing treatment meted out by soldiers, extrajudicial killing by soldiers and total disregard for rules of engagement in a civil society... And yet some claim there are no human right abuses by the Nigerian military?

While I do not wish ill on anyone friend or foe! But I am disgusted at the attitude of northern elders who apparently never gave a fork about boko haram killings until they started killings their kind.

And as if that was not enough when ihejirika matched bokos fire for fire, this same northern elders including buhari started crying that war against boko is war against the north which actually is the truth because boko haram is made up of hausafulanikanuri.

Now the next thing is for anyone to be thinking of questioning the only military commander that dealth deadly blow to boko haram since the first began.

It is the height of absurdity

Did you take an opinion poll of all northern elders to come up with this assertion?
Nobody is worried about 'matching boko haram fire for fire'. The chief concern is that innocent citizens, your fellow Nigerians, are being harmed during this phase.

If you will be incensed if this happened in Enugu, why pretend apathy because it's happening in the North?

The former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (Rtd) has again dismissed the allegation by Amnesty International (AI) that the Nigerian Military were guilty of war crime against civilian populace in the North Eastern part of the country, describing it as baseless.
Gen. Ihejirika made the position known yesterday at the occasion of National Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria Lecture and the award presentation to him by HURIWA in recognition of his contribution to the war against terrorism in Nigeria.

The  theme of the lecture was: Energy and House Hold Poverty in Nigeria and Human Rights and National Security. It held in Abuja.
Ihejirika who was represented by Group Capt. Affiku Steven (Rtd) said the allegation by AI was worrisome considering the huge sacrifices being made by the Nigerian Military and other security personnel to contain the spread of Boko Haram in the country and challenged the world body to come up with substantive evidence by making their source public.

The Amnesty International had in its recent report published on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, accused the Nigerian military of carrying out abuses against civilians, as part of their fight against the Islamic extremist group, Boko Haram.

The international human rights group also accused the military of killing more than 600 released prisoners. The violence against civilians it said constitutes “war crimes”.
He commended the HURIWA for the honour done  him and the Nigerian armed forces in recognition of their contributions in the war against terrorism.
For him, the worst human rights violation for the past six years were the abuses committed by the militant sect, which was responsible for the killings, bombings, and other attacks throughout the country, resulting in numerous deaths, injuries and the widespread destruction of property.

Their source and pressure is certainly coming from Islamic groups outside this country with the backing of their Nigerian sponsors. The last time i saw one of their representative making the baseless accusation, he was looking like someone one could call mohammed or Abdullahi, An Arabian.
