It's imperative that anyone who will believe the bible must also be a student of it.You can't be a student of the bible by using only one version of the bible.You have to compare notes and also get a study bible which has footnotes.

The NIV is the most popular english version and has publications by Zondervan(but they are not the only publishers).

The verses you listed are missing as you rightly said but in the footnotes,you will be referred to scriptures in other chapters indicating that those verses have the same words as the scriptures of reference.

There is an updated version of the NIV too(2011)that seeks to correct the omissions.
