Just when I was going to criticise Buhari for subsidising religion (where else in the world is this madness happening?!), I remember there was a time my State government was subsidising ENTERTAINMENT!

Sometimes I wonder what manner of country we live in!

lets reason it this way:

A fellow going for his PERSONAL RELIGIOUS activity called pilgrimage buys dollar for $1-N160. The man coming to establish a manufacturing firm buys same at N244. If he is lucky to get it at CBN, the least he pays is N198.

My people, are we not in a mad house?

That has been the practice both for Christian and muslim pilgrimages...regrettably so. The government should have no business funding religious activities...they're to provide a peaceful and stable environment where people can practice their religion free of fear and persecution.
