People say gay decision or conviction don't affect others, yet gays want to adopt children born by straights. Why can't gay have gay children?

Atleast Nigerians can hide under the shadow of President Uhuru and be proud of being Africans undecided

The fact is, Buhari is a psychological and social representation of Nigerians. You talk as if the guy just voted himself into power. People collectively vote for leaders who they envisage to be like them. If buhari is an illiterate, it is because Nigerians are mostly illiterate. If he is slow, it is because Nigerians are mostly slow. If he is a dullard, it is because Nigerians are collectively dull. Sometimes when you look at yourself in the mirror you might not like what you see.

I believe the Kenyan President said it rightly and he does speak for various African leaders. Africa has more pertinent issues than Gay rights. Africa need to deal with poverty, social infrastructure, power, corruption, security and its various economies before we can begin to consider less pertinent issues such as who to love or not.
.

Whilst there are more important and higher priority issues, lets first of all criminalize and devote efforts to burn the homosexuals and then shift to education, security etc

I do not have a native dialect I have a language .I am addressing an English language speaking forum so using my language would be inappropriate and I do not think you have the right to use the anonymity of the internet to be insolent. I have not spoken against the use of English so I do not know what YOUR POINT is. My POINT is English is a useful tool but it should be a secondary language and not a primary one and we should take greater pride in our proficiency in OUR OWN LANGUAGES and not ridicule people(like Patience Jonathan) because their English is weak. What is important is to learn our own languages first and to give that greater priority
You don't learn your OWN LANGUAGES per se, except of course you didn't grow up in your 'place'. English language not the only lingua franca, many countries use French, others Latin etc. What you should know is that, it's NOT because the colonial masters wanted us to speak English by all means, but since we didn't have any unilateral language, it was a lot easier for them to introduce theirs as a means of communication.
I condemn the colonial mentality, but not everything they brought is bad. Formal education wouldn't have been possible without a common language. Now how are you going to teach the northerners technology or anything at that when they are not the inventors or you have to translate millions of books to achieve that? For now, just like the gay right ish, it's a gruesome triviality and at best a white elephant project.

Colo Mentality.

An African is not good unless he speaks English and does so with an English accent? I am happy if he speaks in Hausa or Igbo and has his words translated. We must be proud of What we are and not try to be what we are not .Why must it be on their own terms with their own laguage as the reference point . We must wake up from that. I recall a KENYAN writer of acclaim Ngugi wa Thiong'o who is a champion of his own Kenyan Language .We should learn from his STORY and his decision in 1981 to STOP WRITING IN ENGLISH

Yes, you are right your excellency. Africa's problem is far more than relationship, sexually, or sexual orientation. Our problems are far more than what Obama thinks and he is also forcing us to go against our wish. It seems America has a skeleton in their cupboard because I see no reason why you want what nature (God) has programmed to work in a direction be reversed. Do you want to stop the human race from bearing it's own kind? I do not agree with you in this one. Our culture is different from yours, leave us alone. This is a call for an opportunity for African leaders to shun corruption and develop Africa. This is not a case of I rub your back, you rub mine. America and the West want to cheat Africa.

That is why i said 'if you will ever understand me'. It is not about speaking. It is about communication. You have no business being a president when you cannot communicate with your hosts. We'll rather have this mai-suya travel with English translators while he comforts himself with his native fulfude or hausa than his ever shameful showing outside that country.

To some extent your words seem well reasoned but the practical hypocrisy cannot be lost on many Africans who watch on TV virtually every week these days as a Black person is slaughtered on TV by police or face other indignities on a daily basis in the US. We are painfully aware of the lot of black people in America compared to whites and we have not forgotten how silent America was to apartheid South Afria for a long time.

The point is the US is not perfect and does not stand on any higher moral ground that gives it the right to lecture others . What if an African leader visiting the US came out in press conference to lecture the US president about treating blacks equally. If nations are to relate as equal then there must be reciprocity and mutual respecct.Countries should not lecture others or meddle in their internal affairs.

I wonder what continent you come from and whether you notice the way different ethnic groups are treated and also if you are as outspoken on that issue

The US is not institutionally racist.

Obama being president is a testament to that.

Right now, blacks are even more 'racist' than whites.

Obama is right. Just because people are Gay don't mean we treat them differently or take away their right.

Sentencing some to death or prison just because they are Gay is totally wrong.

They have rights to live their life the way they want and choose to.

Just like I have right to Swindle as Many Fannies as I want...even if people consider it wrong.

Should we then go on to say...Fornicators should be given the same punishments awaiting Gays?. Cos its also wrong to Fornicate. Or Is it Abortion?

God has allowed man the freedom to live his life the way he wants...he has not taken anyone's right even as he has the power to do so.

So why take away the rights of GAY People.

No difference between Fornicators, Gays, Abortionists in the sight of God.

Even Jesus never condemned people.

Stop condemning People...Correct the act.

Before someone labels me Gay... "Gay Alert". Am straight to the core and a Fanny Swindler.

Stop Judging .

Tell me how homosexuals have their rights taken away.

You assert authoritatively and invariably you are wrong. Formal education can take place in any language. It is a question of policies. The coloniization is complete in Africa because we were convinced to give up our religion and lost sense of identity. We were convinced that we had nothing of value and were inferior.
You will find that in India and the Arab world which were also colonized they did not adapt the colonialists gods and they also retained their own languages and so most people in those countries were literate in both languages
India has more languages than Nigeria and used English for many years but later some states took the decision to introduce education in primary in the mother tongue, there are examples of recent introduction of the same policy in New Zealand with great success to reverse the extinction of the Maori language so it is not true thatFormal education is not possible without a common language. Even our Neighbour Cameroon have Anglophone Cameroon where they teach in English and so we can teach in primary schools in Yoruba English and Igbo we are talking populations over 20 million. In Belgiium the have more than one language and in Flanders

How do you define "institutionally racist? . Based on that definition we can debate what the significance of Obama being President is to whether or not the US is racist. I must say that Obama is on record as saying that racism is still a problem, THIS YEAR.

Anyway I did not say the US is "institutionally racist" ,those were NOT MY WORDS.
What I did say is it is just as inappropriate for a visiting African President to lecture publicly an American President about how blacks are treated in America as it is for Obama to lecture Kenyatta
Your claim about blacks being more racist than blacks is interesting but I am not sure how it is relevant BECAUSE we are talking about the discrimination BY GOVERNMENT against gays in Africa or against blacks in America .I am not aware that blacks run governments in America and are in a position to effect racism using the apparatus of GOVERNMENT. We are discussing discrimination BY GOVERNMENT agencies or laws

Now, on the topic itself... I come from a country where gay people get married.

The issue is that my country doesn't take religion seriously, that's why I believe they support gay marriage. I think that if the vast majority of the people had firm convictions of what the Bible or Quran say, they would be against gay marriage, but they don't.

Let me explain the point of view from my continent... They believe that, for example, if a woman is a lesbian, there's no problem, since it's her own individual issue. She is free to date other women, and love them, as long as she is a good person, I should't mind her own sexuality. She can still be a responsable student/worker, a sweet person that manages the family very well, fun to be with, etc. She's a human being after all, the only difference is who she chooses to love. In all the other aspects she may be a better person than many heretosexual people.

Now, these gay people are not that religious either, so they have no idea what the Bible says. That's why they don't think twice and go ahead for what they feel.

I understand the points of view of African people... But it's a really hard topic. People who are gay simply feel that way, they don't choose it. So in the name of religion we should help them change their minds, but with love. They don't intend to hurt anybody. We should comprehend them and help them become straight again.
