Cristiano Ronaldo believes Bayern Munich could be the team to derail Manchester United's bid for a second successive Champions League crown
grin grin grin grin grin grin

And Portugal forward Ronaldo is hoping United can avoid the Bundesliga champions, who crushed Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon 12-1 on aggregate in the last round.

Ronaldo told United's website: "Bayern Munich are very strong. I watched them play against my old team, Sporting Lisbon, and I was very sad because I didn't expect Sporting to lose so heavily.

"But this can happen in football. Bayern are very good - they have mature players, strong players, quick players,  Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose are very impressive.
"Bayern play like a team and they look very difficult to beat

This is how i wanted it

Chelsea and Liv'pook can go sort themselves out
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Phony200(m): 1:59pm On Mar 20, 2009
By virtue of the LiverFOOL/Chelski draw, i believe neither of them'll get to the final. Man utd got a good draw but by no means an easy draw. Nothing is written in stone.
Gunners now have a very big of getting through too. Villareal is good, they should edge this tie.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by chamotex(m): 2:00pm On Mar 20, 2009
Good draw but we need to stay focused.
No time for complacency.

Honestly I was hoping for Liverpool or Bayern. I didn't want Barca or the Chavs at the moment. We can bash them in the final.

Good draw though.

You're right. The only thing I fear is over confidence. All
the United fans around me are already talking of a semi
final tie btw us and Arsenal/Villareal
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by allboyz(m): 4:31pm On Mar 20, 2009
Porto should be a work-over for u guyz . . .

Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by manu4laif: 5:37pm On Mar 20, 2009
Guys,

A dream draw for United  grin but we would do well to remember Bayer Leverkuson and Porto embarassed .

We are favourites on paper but it is what happens on the night that counts not the stats. We never lost to Leverkusson or Porto like our form then suggested . But we didn't progress either. The tie will be decided at Old Trafford just like those other 2(Leverkusson,Porto). We must do what we have to do at OT. Then we can ttempt to cruise later.

Yes we can cool
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by DrKitaun(m): 5:44pm On Mar 20, 2009

I dont even see Porto proving any difficult

Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Nobody: 6:03pm On Mar 20, 2009
Well,
On paper it would seem a seemingly easy draw, but Porto is no push-over,by any means. We have to do the job at OT cus they have a formidable home record.

One game at a time.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by DrKitaun(m): 6:13pm On Mar 20, 2009
