getting nice tips from this thread.

if I were you, I'd go for an Msc in Exploration GeoPhysics or an Msc Petrophysics & Formation Evaluation degree. They are in high demand right now. A good BSc Degree in Physics(atleast a 2:1) will brighten your chances. Cheers!!!..

This your question is belittling to the Association of Physicists, but lets allow that to slide...lols. Physicist are very intelligent people, who tend to be book/street smart. You can work anywhere_ ranging from oil and gas, education, banking, IT etc.

Physics is the bedrock of so many sciences.

It's all about what you can offer dear. Don't limit yourself, so many entry level jobs don't bother about your course of study _ except if you really wanna venture into your 'field'.
Are you a physicist? smiley

Better go and learn Electronic repairing, installation and think better as an Entrepreneur than looking for the job that is not there.

My dear if I have my way I will advice one of my child too to study physics, as a physicist I am, I do solar energy installations and repair. I found out among companies that install solar only few do repairs, I study part of alternate energy while studying physics when I graduated from unizik I went further for the practical knowledge today I install different KVAs of inverter and do repairs, charge controllers, mono and polycrystal solar panels, 100A to 220A of deep cycle batteries, I also went further to get diploma in computer engineering I can comfortably fix any system. My dear know what u want physicist are champions. +2348162789287 kojonenergy@gmail.com

Chai, my Almighty PHYSICS, my brother, try nd specialise in atmospheric physics, meteorology, many aviation industries are in need of dem. dnt bother going to medical, its populated. check astrophysics anoda area, bt am encouraging u if u r strong in quantum mechanics to come into MAGNETISM, few persons r into it in Nigeria nd it makes d cost of speakers nd many musical instruments costly, my dear, u r limitless as a PHYSICIST, when I talk geophysics, even geology students in UNN dnt make noise, they r a lot u can do as a physicist. we r d HIGH VOLTAGE COMMUNITY, always visit schools like UNN nd see what we do with PHYSICS, engineering students come to us for proper understanding of dia courses, I feel like pouring my hrt here bt u knw as a physicist, we don't hav d time to b wasting on social network, they r many problems d world z facing dat needs out urgent attention, I want to specialise in NANOTECHNOLOGY bt still considering GEOPHYSICS, let's set d pace while engineers follow .I hope dis helps

You do stand a good chance if you develop your skills on physics electronics and not solid state physics. Telecom and IT firms should be your focus based on your discipline.Try to get few certifications to enhance your chances.

If you are not interested in such firms you can definetly apply for graduate trainee jobs when you see such adverts for banks,Oil companies or FMCG

Dear undergraduate do not allow what people say to have a negative influence on your perception about physics.

It all depends on the institution where you want to have your MSc.Their are so many areas of specialization for MSc in physics and not just education only. You can further your studies abroad or in Nigeria after graduation in the area of specialization of your choice for your MSc in physics.

Please do carry out detailed investigation.

Studying Physics will open a lot of doors for you
Its left to you to exploit and explore all chances
depending on your interest
1) You can further your edu and be a professor easiest route both Home and abroad
2) Medical Physics or Nuclear physics is really cool but your chances might be limited abroad because its a very competitive field
3) IT with some certification heck yeah this is a sure banker you can be a linux admin, programmer.......
the world is yours bro explore and dont be scared to take chances

I am also a graduate of Physics/Telecom. I am also into Motion (FX) and still graphics design.
It is all about where you interest lies. I am pursuing a career TV Editor, by the way I am also a computer, Technology Greek.
Physics opens you to a whole world of possibilities. I just pick an interest, then go ahead a develop yourself.
I no fit shout!!!!
