Greatness is not primarily a matter of circumstances; greatness is first and foremost a matter of conscious choice and discipline.

You can't manufacture passion or motivate people to feel passionate. You can only discover what ignites your passion and the passions of those around you.

Great vision without great people is irrelevant.

People are not your most important assets. The right people are.

Have a blessed day everyone!

Hmm! Thanks for sharing sir. Man, not circumstances, is responsible for his greatness or otherwise.

My dear, good morning. Hope you had a great night?

There's nothing more powerful than willingly ignoring the irrelevant posts from those people.

Have a cool day today.

Life is a series of problems and discipline is the tool required for solving these life's problems.

Life is difficult and so, some of us when faced with challenges attempt to shy away from them. We procastinate, hoping these challenges will just go away; without knowing that it is through the pain of confronting and resolving problems that we learn.

"Those things that hurt, instruct" says Benjamin Franklin.

PROMISE YOURSELF

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health,
happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends
feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and
make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the
best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of
others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press
on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at
all timed and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much
time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticise others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear; and too
happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of yourself and to
proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but in great deeds. To live in
the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best
that is in you...........The Optimist's Creed.

Good morning...

Thanks for these great words. Mere wishing away problems isn't enough to solve them. We must have the courage to confront and sincerely seek their solutions. That's the ONLY way we could get them out of our way.

I'm happy whenever people accept that life's actually difficult. Faith doesn't negate that very fact. Life's pretty challenging and only the disciplined and determined person can surmount them. Problems keep coming as the days go by. We're not immune from the challenges of life, but we can decided to fave them and get them solved.

Procrastination has caused more failures than even lack of talent or certificates. I've suffered a whole lot setbacks because I lacked the promptitude to address very pressing issues. Since our life is time rated, to waste that time in procrastination translates to wasting our life. And failure isn't one cataclysmic event; it's a summation of the poor choices and decisions we've taken down the years prior.

Discipline is the path of the road less traveled. Many people don't like to take that road. It's painful. It's demanding. It's calls for delayed gratification. It calls for patience. And majority of people lack these fundamental traits in their lives. May God help us.

Thanks for sharing, and do have a fantastic day. Shalom!

When we talk, we simply say what we've already learned. When we listen, we learn something new.

No matter what your past has been, you have a spotless future.

Humans are unique. We're the ONLY species that can completely change the course of or lives. Ants can't do it; alligators can't do it. Not even lions. Animals are directed entirely by instinct written into their genetic code; they CANNOT alter their destinies. They don't have that capacity; only humans do.

It's never too late to change the course of your life, if you feel compelled to do so. It's YOUR life. As a human, if you're not happy with the script of your life thus far, you can rip it up and write a completely new one.

Thank you, bro. We must DO. Planning is good but ACTION is better. If we keep waiting for the right time, it may never come. We just have to go out and do something.

Stephanie75, don't forget that you're the captain of your life. You're the driver of your destiny. Don't ever lose sight of that fact.

Freeage7, don't forget that you're where you're TODAY because of the decisions and choices you made YESTERDAY. Make better and smarter designs today, and see a greater tomorrow. No matter what happens, the future is sure as long as you walk and work with that consciousness.

Odunharry, sometimes life throws us back into tears and deep sighs ONLY to push us closer to our destiny and success. Let's endeavour to let go of the past and expect a brighter tomorrow. God bless her soul. Candy.

Kaboninc, don't forget to break free from the routine. Step into unknown roads. Blaze a new trail. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different outcomes. Let's live purposefully.

MizMycoli, it was your empathy and gracious flow with words that drew my attention to you. Never lose sight of that. Do not allow others to take away that grace and nobility from you.

We just have to go out and do what we've determined to do. It's futile waiting for so called RIGHT TIME to act. Let's start right away and keep moving towards our set goals and aspirations.

Dear Nairalanders, A friend of mine aged over 60 years. AN ACCOUNTANT by profession has gotten a three month visa to USA and would want me to advise him on what he could do over there to keep busy including any legitimate skill/s acquisition and possibly earn some part-time income over there. And suggest any possible contacts that could be of use to him while over there and when he eventually returns back home.

Good morning pals. It's so nice to come on here to see inspiring quotes from youths like me. It feels good to know that there's an increase in the number of people who see need for self-development. However I do hope that alongside the words, you are all really taking action to find that change which you desire. It's one thing to read books and quote writers, but it's another thing to get up and take actions that would really change our hearts and minds, all to our benefit and those around us.

I've been trying to get a section on NL for personal development but with no luck, and so I cannot stop at that as I do have so many people to reach out to, hence the reason for the 'empowered for freedom' movement.
We should be playing on a bigger field to really find that change we so desire and even though I've come a long way, I still have an even longer way to go.

As a result of this I have to limit my time on NL to focus on helping people who do so desire the same things as I do. If anything I've learnt is that our priorities determine the rate of success in life, and to grow is my top priority.
Our Facebook group 'empowered for freedom' is open to all and I urge those who really seek to take action to change themselves to join the group where together we can have a greater impact.

Have a blessed day!
