Number 4 is on point. I have a classmate back then that applied this method. Whenever i go to him to learn i always notice that i end up teaching him some things he didn't know. But, how do i let others know without making it look as if i'm BEEFING him? And the guy ended up getting all the available materials you can think of, and most people rated him one of the best in class.

You really nailed it op, but there is one vital point you probably forgot to include, and that was my secret to excellent graduation from UNIJOS this year....... and that is....

Be ready to learn from your mates, even if you are Older than the person or not. Because that is a very big problem I discovered about Nigerian students. Pride have kept most students in school and stopping them from graduation.

That no 1 is relevant only for those who cram that's why many forget what they read immediately after exam .
When you study hard from day one, you will only need to revise lightly for the exam as what you've studied sticks to the brain even long after the exams.

Posts like this is the reason Nigeria is backward. The highest this will produce is 'good grade' with mediocrity. The OP model reveals what OP and his followers are or will be in the future - jobseekers, unemployed or workers-slaves. Everyone has their motivation in life anyways but spending 4 or 5 years in school pursuing just grade is ridiculous. Grades that you will never get in some school, in some department, or with some IQ. And even after you've gotten it you will see how empty it is because you've left the weightier aspect of being educated. I bet you the 12 point will produce a mediocre in the society.

My brother u are right jst as d op also.It depends on the department and also d course. I studied a course that requires u mostly to read heavily through out d semester. Most of my courses require mastery as u have to describe events chronologically (sequentiatly according to time of occurrence).This 1 e on d exam day; time for exam don reach; examiners go shout "put away ur books" tire.This is bc pple cram up till d last second.

So what works for course A may nt work for B. And what works for candidate A may nt work for candidate B.

My friend the most important thing u need to get in school is a good grade. And dnt tell me one will feel worthless abt ur certificate. I cherish my certificate alot.I love what i read in school. It is what is putting food on my table. I am gainfully employed and also an entreprenuer. My products are being consumed both in Nigeria,, UK & d US.There is time for everything.

U can learn the skills outside the school environment mayb after graduation. Bt when u are in school d no.1 focus is for u to get good grades.Make u go dey learn entrepreneural skills for school when u suppose read ur book.I say again there is time for every thing my brother.

As for the opposite sex, it can also be negative if it turns into several love affairs.
It can also lead to distraction if the opposite sex start inviting you to social events and you accept out of politeness.

A friend at uni was like that. He accepted invitation to the pub by virtually all our female friends. I warned him that all those girls inviting him had finished their assignments and read their books already. He thought he was very popular. Me kukuma head to work to make money after lectures. No time.

In the end he left with a 2.2 despite his brightness. A couple of those middle class white girls got 1.1, a few more got 2.1. His saving grace was that it was from a top uni. But he had to do MSc to progress in employment still.

I also think boys generally assist girls more than the reverse. But maybe boys are more shy to seek assistance from intelligent girls, and girls can also be less generous with their time. My observation.

As for lecturer friends extorting students, that seems to be in the 9ja setting, which I didn't go through. But very amusing I must say.

I also agree with the notion about female friends, it's better one rolls with serious, assiduous, fastidious students irrespective of gender.
Having too many female friends can be a distraction.

that number 6 sha.. the female friends i had in my department, tried to turn me to their boy.. assignment and quiz boyfriend.. i had to run. now i stick to guys, they are better. they r the ones who wil even give me the latest news in department, about upcoming quiz and assignment

Yes you are right that is why I said that the relationship must be defined on time.

I can confidently tell you that there are girls who socialise among their classmates yet they are being respected.

It all boils down to how the girl carry and comport herself.
