Homosexuality gay, lesbianisim is not natural, I dnt knw y it's even an arguement. For something to be natural in humans there has to be a gene responsible for it. Let the white man come and tell us the gene responsible for homosexuality. Toleration of others who do NO HARM (except in the minds of those who don't bother to THINK) is not a White Man Concept but a concept for ALL humans[b] irrespective of colour[/b]. ANY persecution is primitive, barbaric and savage again irrespective of colour!

Be proud of Nigeria and what is good in her and there is much! Then work to make her even better where discrimination on grounds of colour, tribe, religion, age, sexual orientation etc is regarded as a thing of the past for uneducated fools.

Natural or not is not the issue. (And it does seem that it is inherent in the way they were born). Is it 'natural' to be born with a deformity? Should we persecute those people too? Very good - so if you want us to make ALL our laws according to the Bible THEN why are we picking and choosing? Remember according to the Bible the following should be put to death.

1. Children who disobey their parents.
2. People who masturbate (Onan was killed by God because he masturbated).
3. Men and Women who commit adultery
4. Those who practice other religions apart from Judaism.

King James Version is a translation from the ORIGINAL Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

It is very useful academic study - for example cross referencing from and between one modern translation to another but due to the archaic and outdated form of English it uses is very difficult and inappropriate for general everyday usage. The meaning of the English words have changed over the centuries and also the emphasis and modes of expression creating too much possibility of misunderstanding. I often use an NIV personally but there are many other excellent translations.

I find there is a very good tip on checking how good your translation is! Look at Mark Chapter 16. ALL translations will have verses 1-8. MOST will have verses 9-20 (not all) BUT should note for the reader that these DO NOT APPEAR IN THE ORIGINAL TEXTS! They were added as a summary (a usual technique) by OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR at a later date. These verses are considered by many to be suspect. In fact the strange American 'Snake Dancing' Christian cults take their scriptural justification from this addition (Mark 16:18).

If a translation or edition does not point out these verses (even in a footnote) I would be very cautious of that edition/translation.

While I have a good respect for the King James Version these people who erroneously regard it as somehow 'superior' or preferable to more modern and relevant translations have much to learn!
