Mis-representation Of Marketing (jobs)and Sales (jobs) In Nigeria by oluwanoni: 3:09am On Aug 11, 2015
Every now and then someone employed or a job seeker out there is been employed as a marketer.

Marketing is part of what generate sales to a company a business or even an organization, or your small shop along the street or even you your self.

Sales is what actually brings in the revenue , because the sales person have to present and sell the product or service itself.

Sales in itself is dependent on marketing and the combination of both is superb.

In Nigeria, Companies, organisations and persons represent marketing as seeking for prospects, selling or presenting and eventually convincing persons to buy their intended product.

Almost definitely if you're a marketer you're doing the Job of two individuals i.e that of a marketer and a sales-person. Only a company that fails to use marketing as a strategy for boosting sales persons and sales refer to aggressively turning its sales persons to a combination of both.

A practical example is the Cocacola..#share a coke, that is marketing in play, to help boost sales and sales persons.

To clear the air, whether u marketing for ABC insurance, agbomagbe bank, reckitt e.t.c to mention a few, you are a sales person.

But if you happened to be in communications, advertising, PR, media relations then you are close to being a marketer.

Although one cannot survive without the other. But in Nigeria its a combination of both that is why the job of a marketer in Nigeria in itself is stress-full because you're doing two jobs at a time.
