Flying Eagles coach Samson Siasia has mourned former Nigerian player, Chris Anigala who died at the weekend.

Siasia who played in the same team with the late ex-International in 1985 described him as worthy friend who he could not believe has passed on.

“This is a bad news. Anigala was one of the friends and teammates I can never forget. Honest and hard working fellow.His death wil be a big loss to Nigerian football.


The former Dream Team IV coach who won silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China however prayed that God gives the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.


“My prayer is that God be with the family he left behind and also give them the fortitude to bear the loss because it is a big loss”.


It would be recalled that Anighala was one of the ex-Internationals that stood behind Siasia while he was the coach of the 2005 Flying Eagles team.
