Looking for a bank job in Nigeria? Fidelity bank is it, so says Ventures Africa and Jobberman.Fidelity Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading banks, has been adjudged the best bank to work for in Nigeria.

This is going by a recent study conducted by Venture Africa, an online platform for news and analysis about African businesses, in conjunction with , Nigeria’s leading employment website.

Fidelity Bank Plc is the only bank among the top 12 most preferred places to work in Nigeria.

The report, tagged: “Top 100 companies for Nigerian millennials,” surveyed young Nigerians born between 1982 and 2003 and measured company culture, dream-company, staff welfare, gender equality, government institution, company’s prestige, salary, and non-salary benefits.

It also looked at the level of satisfaction, salary consideration, level of contentment, career growth, concerns outside work and work-life balance amongst others.

According to the organizers, Fidelity led all other banks in the country in all the measuring indices.

In a statement, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Fidelity Bank Plc, Nnamdi Okonkwo, said the development is a testament to the bank’s robust human capital management policies, which focuses on enhancing the lives and wellbeing of employees.

Okonkwo explained that Fidelity places a premium in supporting and rewarding the performance of its people.

He said: “We are proud to be honoured, especially because of our strong initiative and focus not only on staff welfare but also on the wellbeing of their families.”

Okonkwo alluded to the great work the bank has done in making Fidelity Bank a great workplace. Citing the Great Place To Work studies conducted in more than 44 countries and 4,500 organizations, which had seen corporations like Google, Goldman Sachs and Microsoft emerge as winners together with Fidelity, Okonkwo said he is proud that Fidelity Bank belongs to this league having won the award on two occasions.

For instance, last year, Fidelity Bank was voted the 2nd Best Place to Work in Nigeria by the GPTW, a US-based global research agency with operations in more than 40 countries across the world.

The year before, the bank was voted the 5th Best Place to Work in Nigeria, 2nd among rated banks and 3rd among all rated indigenous organizations in Nigeria.

cheesy

We Are FIDELITY! We Keep Our Word!cheesy
Finally, something to make me smile, beyond this whole secessionist ish.

I have remained with Fidelity bank because of an advert they ran in the early 2000s.
The lyrics of the ad concept was one which totally resonated with me.
Sometimes, I call their customer care with my airtime just to hear this song.
Other times, before withdrawing cash from an ATM, I tend to hold for a bit so I can listen to the song.
I wish I could get a Youtube video or MP3 copy of the song.

The lyrics goes thus:-

In the summer and in the rain.
Through the good times and through the pain
I'll be there when you call my name
Yes I will be true, true to you
And together we soar the skies
Pull down mountains and reach great heights
Your success would be my delight
I'm never leaving you
And in everything I do
I'll be true to youuuu
No matter what it takes
True to you
True you.
I'll be true to you no matter what it takes.
FIDELITY BANK, WE ARE FIDELITY, WE KEEP OUR WORD.

Firstbank still the best national bank to work with in this country if truly you know much about management structure and welfare.

To a large extent Fidelity bank is better than so many banks in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, 90% of their staff are igbo so others beware.

Venture Africa and Jobberman are just hyping Fidelity Bank for their own personal benefit. I see no reason what so ever why Fidelity will come tops above GTbank, Zenith and others.

This write up just gave us abstracts without pinpointing what graduate/executive trainees take home at the end of the month, their welfare packages, leave allowances, bonuses etc.

All VenTure African and Jobberman focused on was just abstracts in other to boost the reputation of Fidelity Bank. I'm even not surprised that a poster above me said she joined the bank just because of an advert she saw, imagine that, an advert Not that she was given quality service when she went there but because of an advert.

I want to believe that many Nigerians are not easily deceived by abstracts rather than real facts.
