A nine-year-old girl Splendour Joe Abisoye from Maitama, Abuja, has taken an initiative to write a book about “Effects of Terrorism on Children” ConnectNigeria reported.

This is after Splendour Joe Abisoye had visited a camp in north of Nigeria, where she interacted with kids her age, where they shared their experiences and daily struggles. 

Some of the children told Splendour that they even considered joining Boko Haram the terrorist group because they felt that it’s the only way to remain safe. This inspired Splendour to write a book about this topic that affects many parts of Nigeria and it’s the children that end up being victims.

Splendour’s belief is that it’s crucial for children to be educated about terrorism whilst they still young so as to prevent them from possibly wanting to join terrorism groups at a later stage in life.

General Olukolade while receiving the book, applauded Splendour’s efforts and initiative, he also commended her parents for the support they have been giving her throughout. You are not too young or too old to achieve your dreams
