Good morning house, I secured an admission to teeside University for September 2019 which I have to defer to fall 2020. My issue now is that I have substantial part of my tuition amd maintenance fees in treasury bill which matures July2020,
Will it be fine to apply for my Visa close to the maturity of the TB investment or will i need to wait for the funds to mature and still count another 28 days before applying.

the funds is not readily available to you! the immigration law states it must be readily available within your reach limit and moreover the TB is not recognized!

@Lagosismyhome and all. I'd like to know/clarify for a person going for a 3 years PhD program, do such person need to have the tuition fee and maintenance (living expenses) in the bank account for 28 days for 1 year only and not for the entire 3 years or more than year 1(let say 2 of the 3 years) tuition fees and maintenance costs.
Thanks in advance!

Want to start applying to schools now...checking job shortages in the UK is really confusing. Majority of jobs are engineers and teachers, tv/film producers and directors, chefs they do need.

Hmmm...okay I spent one year teaching pre-school/reception class. Then I spent 3 years in journalism as freelance journalist. I do read the news on Tv/radio/present a tv program and go out for reporting. I do produce programs for radio/TV. But I left last year to start several businesses. I studied english in my first degree.

I am into serveral businesses now so I am confused because my plan is to put my businesses on hold I don't know if they will allow me do business as a student. I have to study the environment because of the kind of businesses I do first. So I plan to get a job maybe as a teacher. Although I don't really like teaching prefer journalism or something relating to media. Seems teaching is more employable compared to journalism. I dont know about the TV/film production market.

I studied BA History and Diplomatic Studies. And was offered msc Project Management. I know of a school that offers msc Nursing (adult) to other non related fields. Though they have other requirements like 2:1.

My point is, some schools offer courses that Welcomes other fields. Talk more of within Engeering. Just do more research, you could get a school that presents you what you need.
...
Please which school is that?so that I can do more research on it.and does it also apply to someone with first degree in engineering opting for MSC nursing in UK?

Curious to know if you mean BSC nursing instead of MSC nursing. .....

Engineering is a good field in UK , I say that only because I notice it's on the shortage skill list

I applied for Bournemouth University. But for their Nursing, their next intake for 2years Bsc Nursing (Adult) is in Summer 2020.

While for Msc Nursing that could be recommended by me is University of Hertfordshire. Their 2 years masters is open to orher field provided you meet their requirments. Their next intake is 28 Sept 2020. This 2 year full time programme is especially designed for people who already hold a first degree wishing to become registered nurses.
Professional Accreditations
Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be eligible to enter the Nursing and Midwifery Council Professional Register as an Adult Nurse and will be legally entitled to practice. Normally a 2:1 honours degree in any subject. Consideration will be given to applicants with a 2:2 if their degree is related to nursing and they have previous care work experience.
GCSE mathematics and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
All offers will be subject to the applicants demonstration of the NHS constitution’s “Values and Behaviours”, satisfactory interviews, numeracy and literacy test, health screening and the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) checks. You can view the full NHS Constitution for England on the Government.

I hope switching from one field to another unrelated field won't affect one's chance of getting visa?

How does this tally with what me and a nairalander's discussed yesterday Did I even ask a question yesterday If you don't know the difference thats your problem.

Do You just jump into discussions that doesn't concern you. How does job shortages concern this post you munch

You saw the question the nairalander asked yet you went to last week post to go and munch without reading what lead to him/her asking.

There is a difference between airing an opinion, asking a question and explaining.

So because I asked a question last week I should not post again Are you now an admin so I will stop asking questions and airing my views on what I read on the Internet about UK? Let me know so I will stop commenting here

Hi STENON,

I am a graduate of Ind. Chemistry (BSc) with 2:2. Can I apply for PGCE for Chemistry in UK and become a teacher with the hope of switching to Tier 2 status after completion of my studies? Is this route feasible?

Thanks in anticipation of your response!
