Having interviewed prospective applicants for I.T/Application Support role,i realised that only one or two had the requisite know-how of what the Job entails.

I.T Support responsibilities include

1.Application Installation
2.Database Installation and configuration
3.DML/DDL implementation
4.Report generation from data in the database
5.Performance tuning
6.Documentation
7.Transaction Control
8.Networking and hardware (added advantage but not compulsory)

to mention a few.

To be an I.T Support person,you need to be knowledgeable in implementing the above mentioned topics .Sequel statements and transact-sql cannot be ignored.
