Nigeria To Resume Oil Export To United States by Idrismusty97(m): 8:32am On Sep 07, 2015
HOPE of resumption of crude oil export from Nigeria to the United State of America has been renewed by the president of a Washington-based Global Water and Energy Strategy Team (GWEST), Paul Wihbey.

Also, President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to swiftly put in place a new strategic energy policy for export of Nigerian oil to new markets in Asia, while also urging government to resolve the crisis with India, which has expressed its willingness to increase its crude oil import from Nigeria to about $50billion
annually.

GWEST President Wihbey, gave the hint of resumption of Nigeria’s crude oil to the U.S., while delivering a lecture with the theme, “The global oil and gas market dynamics: outlook for Nigeria’, at the Emerald Energy Institute of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State at the weekend.

Wihbey, who before President Buhari’s visit to the U.S., briefed the U.S Marine Corps Command and Staff College, as well as U.S
Marine Corps War College, Quantico, Virginia, as an expert on geopolitics of the international energy sector, particularly on Nigeria, explained that if Nigeria establishes credible political institutions, it will in no distance time replace Saudi Arabia as a key oil exporter to the U.S.

He stated that the recent drastic reduction in the price of crude oil, which has adversely affected the Nigerian economy was caused by the decline in commodity super-cycle and China; the U.S. shale production; and Middle East geopolitics like Iranian issue and Saudi Arabia fixation on the Shanghai cooperation
organization.

At the lecture, which was chaired by former presidential adviser on petroleum matters, Dr. Emmanuel Egbogah, the energy expert said a key component of President Barack Obama and President Buhari’s recent meeting in Washington, is for the resumption of
significant volume of crude oil export to the U.S, as Saudi Arabia lean more towards China.

Interesting...

What has CHANGED ?

The last explanation from American government for not buying oil from Nigeria anymore is described below.

- Does it mean that America oil production has dropped to make it now intending to buy crude oil from Nigeria ?

- Could it be a wicked policy to punish the unyielding president at the time ?

- Do we now have a president who is ready to do the bidding of the modern slave master ?

Fellow Nigerians,

Please what has really changed ? abi dis too naa the body odour or na body language una dey call am ??

According to the White House Economic Council Director, “across the last several years, US oil production has ramped up significantly by more than 50 percent to now over eight and a half million barrels per day.”

He explained that such a high turn up in local US oil production “has now dramatically reduced our dependency on imports,” Zients noted, adding that “in fact, we now produce more here than we import.”

The script is being played perfectly. Get Nigeria play ball with the United States or reject her oil if she choose otherwise. Nigeria is doomed!

Whatever.... This is Nigeria last chance for diversification. The proceeds gotten from this opportunity wouldn't be looted and wasted under Buhari, Saudi Arabia have benefited too much from the US economy. Time to let Nigeria and Iran in!

Another heart breaking news for wailers;
Also, President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to swiftly put in place a new strategic energy policy for export of Nigerian oil to new markets in Asia, while also
urging government to resolve the crisis with India,

Who still thinks Buhari visits to the US is a waste?

America's willingness to resume buying oil from us is good and all but not the what interests me most. That India intends to increase their oil imports from Nigeria to $50 billion is the real news here

That is great news

If India, China and Brazil increases their Fuel imports from us, we might not have any crude left to sell to the US.

We need options when it comes to buyers

Will it be bad if we have enough refineries that will refine all our crude oil produced. ... so we only export finished product and add more value to it??

Just asking... .. sha.

At the moment Nigeria is begging buyers to buy its oil at a discounted price.

American resumption of buying oil from Nigeria again could be a smokescreen.

Dangote's 650,000 bpd refinery in Lekki and Oando's 350,000 bpd in Badagry will sort that out. Both are coming in stream next year
