Niger-Deltal millitant, are they more powerful than Nigerian army ? if not why has FGN not done something to stop this nefarous act in oil region?

its a very complex situation, the entire region is under developed and as such it wont be easy to send a conventional army or navy or airforce into the area complete with armoured tanks, armoured personnel carriers and armoured boats. the militants themelves have been in the past been used by the politicians who are now in power in some capacities. The oil companies themselves have made their operations to comply with international standards. All these and more makes the government to look handicapped.
