and as such i say make i share this with una.

10. DR Congo

“The Leopards” The DR Congo national football team is one of the legendary African team. DR Congo (then called Zaire) first entered to play in African Cup of nations in 1965 and qualified for the final tournament and won their first trophy in 1968.

Zaire participated in the 1974 World Cup but they lost all their three games. From 1978 to 1986, it is regarded as their crisis era when they did not qualify for any other African Cup of Nations or World cup before return to success as regular quarter-finalists during the 1990s and the 2000s

9. South Africa

South Africa’s Bafana Bafana is among the most famous African team. Football just first arrived in South Africa during colonialism in the late nineteenth century. From the first days, South African football affected by the country’s system of racial segregation. The football association was divided into four consist of All-White, Bantu, Indian and Blacks.

Cause of this Bafana Bafana did not compete in any international tournament until first participated in both qualifying round of FIFA World Cup and African Cup of nations of the 1994.

8. Côte d’Ivoire

The Elephants first participated in the Africa Cup of nations in 1965 and reached the semi – finals three consecutive times since that year.

They entered to play in FIFA World Cup qualification for the first time in 1974.Ivory Coast won the Africa cup of nations two times (1992 and 2015).

They first qualified for the World Cup in 2006 and since then they didn’t miss any single World Cup qualification. They lastly participated in 2010 and 2014.

7. Tunisia

The Eagles of Carthage played their first international match in 1957. They were first admitted to FIFA and CAF in 1960.

Tunisia participated first in the AFCON and the FIFA World Cup qualifying round in 1962 tournament and achieved qualifying for the first time and finished third.

However, they had a hard period between 1960s and 1970s when they failed to qualify for the final tournament. Tunisia won their first AFCON cup in 2004 and participated in World Cup 4 times.

6. Algeria

Algeria national football team was first admitted to FIFA in 1963 and participated in African cup of nations for their first time in 1968, then in the World Cup in 1970.

The early 1980s was their most successful period after they qualified for the 1980 Olympic game, won the 1980 African Cup of Nations runner-up and built the memorable performance in the 1982 World Cup where they won two games in the group round and very close to qualify for round of 12 just missed for goal difference.

5. Morocco

Morocco National Football team also called ‘‘Lions of the Atlas’’ is the greatest North African team of all-time in history of FIFA World Cup qualification.
Morocco was the first African team to qualify for FIFA World Cup in 1970 and won their only Africa Cup of Nations in 1976.

Morocco was the first African country to reach the second round of World Cup in 1986. They met their successful time again during 1990s when qualified for World Cup two consecutive times.

The Ghanaian Black Stars are famous for their Technique style of playing. They are members of FIFA and CAF since 1958. They entered World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for the first time in 1962.

Ghana won Africa cup of nations four times. They participated in the World Cup for the first time in 2006 and in 2010 they reached the quarter finals to become the second African team, after Cameroon, to reach that stage.

2. Egypt

Egypt is the greatest African team of all-time in history of African cup of nations as they hold the record most winners with seven.

Egypt is the oldest team in Africa when it first international match was held in 1920 and is the only African team to affiliate to FIFA in the pre- second World war era in 1923. It is the first African team to participate in World Cup final tournament in 1934. Egypt is also one of the founding members of CAF in 1957.

They hold the record of most consecutive champions in African Cup of nations with three between 2006 and 2010 and the record most consecutive unbeaten in African Cup of Nation with 19 between 2004 and 2010.

Indomitable lions hold the record most consecutive appearances in World Cup for African teams with four between 1990 and 2002. In 2003, Cameroon became the only African team to reach FIFA confederation cup final match.

Nigeria ought to be no 2, we participated more than the egyptians in the World cup, we also have more 2nd positions At the nations cup than they have.
