I recent want to venture into goat bizness, but the problem is where to get a pure breed of boer goat and kalahari red goat...anyone with useful information will be welcomed...

My guy i have the same problem. i have been looking for boer goat for a very long time anybody that knows where we can get and the price for the boer goat please help out.

i called Arinze of jovana integrated farm..and he said it cost 100k per one, so i will have to pay 200k for a pair,which i feel it outrageous...so that why am looking for anpther seller

Since we r much in dis line....I feel is best...we look for a way...to get them from southafrica....if we buy...as a group...d cost of shipping...'Lll b less...cos I need to...n d price over der...is like that of our normal goats here....is just a suggestion...

Nigeria custom shouldn't be a problem since it will be well documented,i need to get a good farm in south africa that can do that for us,

i agree with you, i will make my research today, so everyone here too can come up with a reputable farm and have a legit quotation...

Notice to everyone interested in the Boer goat and kalahri red goat, with my findings the goat with the cost of shipping to Nigeria from south Africa is about 80k per one..but i believe 80k is not a small money for all intending goat farms. Expecially if you want to start with 3 female and a male...NOTE : ANY ALTERNATIVE SOURCE WILL BE WELCOME

Boer goats are avalable in Ogun state , d govt brought some frm SA & start selling to farmers in ogun state
But can u manage & feed the animal well ,
Where will you get hay & .straw ..... to feed the animal
It must aclamatize to your enviroment
I made enquiries to buy frm SA & l was advise to buy frm d naija source .
The germaney spiece is better ,that is what is available in kenya , cheaper
May be someone else can help out

If anyone is really interested in the Kalahari red goat.. You can get nice ones at FUNAAB.. They have a Kalahari red goat project and even crossed some with WAD and SOKOTO RED..

So in all wat r we lookn @...do we import...or get dem from ogun state..n plz dat of ogun state..how cAn one get dem...can it go round ...to d guys in d room...for me...I say we Get dem in 9ja..cos der children..'ll do well

i will try and contact sebore farms and see whether they have boer goats and if they are willing to sell

I just spoke with the marketing manager at sebore farms they sell Boer goats and their price tag is between 45000 to 60000 but they are currently out of stock and they will bring the new stock either ending Nov or in December
