According to NAN, Brigadier General Ezugwu, the
commander of the 28th task force brigade in Mubi, disclosed
that over 200 had been captured.
He made this known during the lecture on relationship
between the military and civil populace:
“This Brigade has rescued and deradicalised over 200 Boko
Haram insurgents from November 2014 to date.
“And the beneficiaries of this programme numbers in terms
of thousands.
“There is need for a collaborative approach involving
political, diplomatic, economic, timely information and
other related lines of counter insurgency operation.”
A series of successful missions has been conducted,
including operations in Sambisa forest, the notorious
hideout of the sect.
It should be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari,
who carried out a major shake-up in the military, ordered
the new service chiefs to eliminate the insurgency within
