Sleeksylvia: Wow! I enjoyed reading tru dis thread. I've always wanted 2 be a doctor. I wrote Jamb 4 times. 3 of my results were witheld .finally, I got admission 2 read Animal n environmental Biology. I graduated since 2009 wit a 2.1. I'm done wit nysc sincee 2011. Been looking 4 a job and confused abt wat 2 do in Msc. I applied 4 direct entry in2 uniben 4 medicine. Just wrote d exam last week. I'm 28 n want 2 get married b4 or while in sch. Wit all I hav been reading abt stress in med sch, difficulty in getting a placement 4 housemanship, USMLE, Primaries etc; I got a bit scared 2 be frank. But I'm not deterred cos I believe wit God by my side, I will live my dream. Lest I forget, I started feeling faint at d sight of blood at some point but I'm controlling it now. Hope I will get ova dat? I wanted 2 be a surgeon but I'm afraid I will go 4 medicine dependin on if I get ova it. Pls I need comments from my big brothers and sister and senior colleagues telling me d realities of d journey of being a successful medical doctor. Thanks in anticipation of ur comments
Please can I say something as your small bros? First of all, forget about whether you'll want to be a physician or surgeon first, it's a decision for later. Forget about the fainting at the sight of blood, it's an intangible. If you're sure you want to do medicine, you can do it as a married woman (I know people doing it). You'll however need a sponsor as you won't be able to work and get money. You'll also need to start before getting married as your husband may be able to talk you out of doing it. It's difficult giving this kind of advice online as I don't know you and I feel your personality will determine how well you cope in your particular situation. If medicine is what you really want to do at this point in your life, then go ahead without fear sister. I hope you find some little wisdom in the words of a child.

Hellow good friends, i had always wanted to be a doctor. I have written jamb four times, although i always pass but my score in PUME always range from 230 to 240. These has not been able to fetch me medicine. At the moment am currently studying food science and technology in university of uyo. I want to ask if a degree in FST can grant me direct entry into medicine?

I had a thing 4 doctors as in admiration. I ended up dating one while in Sch doing my 1st degree n he was in last lap of med sch. He gave me a foot/toe massage dat I can't 4get in a hurry one day after a hectic day in sch. He was nice n romantic. At d end, afta all d love we shared, afta all d care n affection, we broke up n d fault came frm him because of anoda girl. People say most male doctors r players or womanizers. I know some of dem. Is it d profession or a natural disposition to cheat?

Hello Doctors,
Want to get money by referring patients to India?
Just refer any patient to India, we recieve that patient and get him admitted to the hospital like Fortis, Escorts, Primus and many more. You will get a 10% referral amount of the total cost occurred in treatment. Suppose you refer any patient to India and his total treatment cost is $5000, then you will get $500 for this at the instance.
It's just a simple philosophy and you can also earn something by just referring relevant patients.
Mail me at shikhar.db@gmail.com for further questions.

Hello dear, i think we are in a similar situation right here. I don't want to go over d stories of all the time lost, i just want to see how i can redeem it. I'm a native of Delta state, I'll be 28 by Feb 2015, graduated in 2011, with a 2.2 in Human physiology. I was actually pursuing a foreign admittion for medicine in Europe, (i started the process in 2013) but right now i dnt seem to have sufficient fund for that, but i am still trying to see if a scholarship can suffix. Meanwhile, i want to also get Jamb form and start afresh ( a very rigorous and time consuming process). I'm considering Jamb because i am not sure of getting direct entry with my 2.2 in Nigerian Universities (this i discovered from the schools i checked)
I really need useful advice from anyone here, please share your information with me. thank you in advance.....

Job/work situation in Nigeria hardly gives people enough time for anything else, except weekends most times.
Most people would love to build an additional income source but timing is the problem.
I just found a way we could build an additional unlimited income source, part time even while we are at work.
interested? send me a message.
