Channing Odugbo and Daniel, 19, had been sent on separate errands on Wednesday, September 9, by their father, Moses. They were said to have been unreachable ever since and efforts by their parents to locate them had been unproductive.

Policemen from the Igbogbo Police Division were said to have collected N4,500 from the family as payment for writing materials to report the case, and sending of signals to surrounding divisions to track the missing kids.

Their correspondent learnt that the family had finished morning prayers on the fateful day when Moses, a businessman, asked Daniel to withdraw some money from the nearest Automated Teller Machine

Well it's widely known that Nigerian Police re useless beyond redemption.

The Nigerian Police is used to collecting money even from dead bodies. My friend had an accident last year December while trying to escape from armed robbers who eventually robbed him of everything he carried on that faithful journey. After the robbery, police came to the scene and took him to the nearest police station. Despite the gunshot injury he had on his hand (which he sustained as he was trying to swerve and dodge the robbers) the police still asked him to pay 5k so that they can take his report further. This same police took him from the robbery scene ooo. It's pathetic what people go through in the hands of the Nigerian Police.
