Lagosians have now resorted to trekking as the traffic situation in Lagos gets worse. These are passengers along the Apapa Oshodi expressway in Lagos trekking towards Mile 2 as the express road has been overtaken by Petroleum tankers. Some of the passengers have complained about being robbed by hoodlums along the road. The chaotic traffic situation in Lagos entered its third day today.

Lagos is a stressful place to live in.

Just one twitch in someone's head, and your whole day can get completely ruined in traffic.

You spend a lot buying fuel, spend more on accommodation, pay more for everything and still end up in traffic.

If your house isn't close to work, no savings!

See Question.

Lagos by now should have Subways for Trains and Buses. Frankly, Water Transport should be the next point of call as this will ease the congestion and stress on our roads. Buy Yatchs and Speed boats that would convey passengers quick to their destinations without the hassles of waiting endless in a grid-lock that could span several kilometres and hours.

These are some "other" means of transport that Lagos state should be buying rather than concentrating on the road alone.

N1000 daily congestion charge will do the business.
The money can then be ploughed into mass transit

Shocked seeing those trailers queuing on bridges that are not meant to sustain heavy weight.

Use to wake up by 5am so as to beat the traffic. For where, its as if the motorists don't even sleep any more cause as early as 4am there are traffic in major routes.
