The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, who was kidnapped earlier this week, has regained his freedom, Africa Independent Television (AIT) has reported.
Falae was kidnapped on Monday at his farm in Ondo State by people described as Fulani herdsmen.Newsdiaryonline had reported that the abductors demanded N100 million ransom. It was not known at the time of filing this story if any ransom was paid.

But President Muhammadu Buhari earlier today condemned the abduction of Falae and ordered the security agencies to ensure his safe rescue.

Also, Afenifere, the socio-cultural group in the South West had earlier today warned against anything untoward happening to Falae.

Afenifere in a statement by its Spokesman,Yinka Odumakin urged northern leaders to ask the Fulani herdsmen to release the former presidential candidateAfenifere revealed that Falae and the Fulani herdsmen had been engaged in some running battles over his farm..

Falae’s reported release is expected to douse the tension trailing his kidnap

I know someone will come out now and say buhari is scared of fani kayode, that's why falae was freed. All those idiotic wailers ; nothing is beyond them. That was how they said buhari was scared of tompolo because tompolo made a statement about amnesty, and the president released money soon after.

We bless God for his mercies. Tired of reading about kidnapping, killings and bombing. Nothing seems to be working in the country. Feeling very bored.

To God be the glory. With this, the ethnic bigots that are trying to create division with his kidnapping will now let us rest. I hope the criminals that kidnapped him have been apprehended as well.

Whenever they do release him, I hope the Afenifere will put under watch all their aged respectable personalities,, so that we will not arrive at tthis junction again. I can't believe the SW cowards couldn't do anything to their lords, the Fulani. Imagine, on a show, which was discussing the FALAE issue and the Fulani herdsmen problem, a SW coward called into the show to complain about the mentioning of the Fulani in connection to falae's abduction. He was practically begging the presenters to quit the discussion, and move on. WHAT A COWARDLY TRIBE.
hmmmm tribal bigot

You tribal bigot should go and take a chill pill. He was kidnapped by criminals irrespective of which tribe they came from. Kidnapping is a criminal act that flourish so well in the south east. So, I wonder why the same south easterners are the ones complaining so bitterly. Maybe the Fulanis have learnt from you guys after all.

It is just sad how people tribalize everything knowing fully well that that criminals will be criminals sad....fulanis are not known for kidnapping and therefore, it should be fair enough to say that they learnt this from the iboes.... sad angry

When did you hear Fulani kidnap or ask for ransom? Shey Fulani herdsman get bank account ni to deposit 100M Naira not cows

if you look at it well you would see its all a ruse
Elections in Ondo are coming up next year and Mimiko + Afenifere know they cant win

They are trying to stoke public opinion about APC being a Fulani party
