Your opinion though. You think PDP should have remained in power? A sect that has rocked the nation for over 6 years, we expect that they be gotten rid of in few months? APC may have made that statement having not taken over power and probably without adequate intelligence about this sect. With the threat made by PMB during campaign, we don't expect BH to rest and wait to be extinguished; it is just normal that they get better in their strategies.

To be honest, terrorism is not a easy thing to stop especially with Nigerian Army so inexperienced with it, for example Afghanistan the USSR(for 9 years), USA (for 14 years), UK(for 13 years), have all fought and given up. however, towards the election and handing-over, Jonathan did significantly reduces the bombing incidences (I suspect due to massively restricting movements of people and goods). Islam extremism must be fought by eliminating any elements that sponsor it or believe it. Then young Muslims should be taught right from birth that this extreme version is not the word or will of God or Allah.

In four years time this Boko Haram may still be bombing the country, it is simply not gonna end so easily as the Army frequently says it will.
