The re run election would take place in 10 wards in Ekiti state between Fayemi (AC) and Segun Oni (PDP). What do you guys think of the election and who is likely to win ?

Fayemi should win.
I was watching Fayose on AIT some few days ago and he seems to have convinced the Ekiti residents that Segun Oni has been useless so far.
It will be interesting. I wish i was in Naija to witness this drama. tongue

Segun Oni did the same thing on MITV. He rubbished the audacity of Fayemi, Tinubu and Fayose. He called them cowards that prefer darkness to light. I trust PDP to retain the mantle.

We shall see.
Fayose is tightening his hold.
He seems to have some facts that Segun Oni has been useless.

This update is a good idea,

I hope the next time we have an election we will have something like the 606 debate on BBC so that if any member of the public spots any trouble they can quickly text in location of trouble and if possible take pictures with their mobile phone to upload on youtube.

So that No compromised judge will say there is no evidence of trouble.

They are all criminals
so what does it really matter who wins?
do they even really win
It's a matter of who out-rigs and out-thugs the other
Is Ekiti not in Naija again?
you people shouldn't waste your time.

a vibrant opposition alternative can only do naija good.

I hope APGA, PPA and Labour Party will all join the broom revolution and give the PDP a run for their money.

Competitiveness breeds innovation, at some point this people will realise that the only way to sustain your party in Governance in this day and age is good governance.

But all these wont be possible without a vibrant opposition.

I hope Sen. Arise goes to jail if found guilty.

what point would it make if an old crook is replaced by a new crook?

There would be a vibrant opposition when Nigerian parties are based on ideologies and not personalities. and no awoism doesn't count.

well if one dominant party continues to rule, their is no point to reform. after all they are winning

but if there is competition, in time the only wining argument becomes that which people can identify with.

Is the PDP adopting the Supreme court formula for Ekiti elections

You know 4 Judges for PDP, 3 for Opposition - In the end P|DP still wins

They might just decide 6 LGA for PDP, 4 LGA for AC.

but by the way does the 2/3 majority rule still hold in Nigeria?
Re: Update on the Ekiti Rerun Election: Segun Oni (PDP) declared Winner ! by lucabrasi(m): 1:21am On Apr 26, 2009
the question begging for an answer is,rigging aside, who are the ekiti indigenes still voting with eyes wide open for pdp??
sometimes we deserve everything we get from these people, how can pdp still have these kind of margins with all that has gone on in that state?guessn the salt and rice sharing still works after all,the politicians have gotten enough blame, they deserve everything oni will put them through if the guy should win this election!
