Biollar the questions aren't here nor there o! Just to establish relationship and verify details. For egs something like 'this your daughter which number is she?' I don't think they l ask her anything she won't know. U can make sure she knows ur hospital and accomodation and EDD. Other stuff will be questions personal to her 2 Likes |

@ Biollar, Sequel to LadyG's response, you should also let her know your company name and what you do there just in case she's asked. My colleague's mum also applied and she was asked ; 1) where she works (I'm an educationist in ***sch and I have worked there for 20yrs) 2) where her husband is and the number of kids she has 3) wher all her kids are too. 4) sponsor She wasn't asked about her financial status as she already told the VO that her daughter was sponsoring. 1 Like |

anonymousmum: Try hard while you're in naija to get this PTA oh, what my eyes are seeing ehn! Everyday I have to go out to get cash from the atm just to make sure I meet my monthly withdrawal limit on my naija cards. Stanbic charges N280 for atm withdrawals.which is the best I've heard of so far (try to open an account with them, even if you don't get PTA they are more affordable for transactions here than the others) On the Stanbic card you have a monthly limit of $750 (atm withdrawals) $1750 pos and atm withdrawals. So getting that PTA is priceless. Gtb charged me at N299 to $1 yesterday..never again! 3 Likes |

biollar1: In addition, my mum was asked how much she earned and what courses she lectured She was also asked if she had other grand children, as LadyG said, personal questions basically but in all, it was a breezy experience Your mum will be fine |

biollar1:thanks a lot na me go open shop with them tomorrow AM TheLeakyTribe: Thanks a lot. This one is not for birthing, it's for vacation. I cannot even deal with these exchange rates that I am seeing and hearing upandan. Stanbic is good, got PTA in January from them but their cards are extremely unreliable (in my experience). Got PIN error message so many times shopping in the UK until the card was finally blocked...see embarrassment in the store...got to Naija and they said that ehn...it happens sometimes...I was like huhh. GT is the best card but their rate is downright thiefery. I can't even begin to recount what GTB has used my eye to see... |

TheLeakyTribe: Why don't you try money order. The limit daily is $350 (same as POS) then the charge is only $1 using Stanbic Card |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Petdaughter: 5:59am On Mar 30, 2016 |
TheLeakyTribe: Go to a Walmart store and request for a money order. They'll ask you for the amount, take $349 (the remaining $1 is to cover the charge). You would then swipe ur card on their POS machine after which you would be issued the money order. It is sort of a blank cheque. You can then pay it into any American account (either yours' or someone you know). It would clear the next day and then you have $350 cash as against just $150 on the atm Many thanks for the baby greetings! 11 Likes |

Update. . . My girls interview is fast approaching. I'll break down the things we've done thus far and looking for opinions/inputs from the house, please. Thank you in advance. Registered and got paid reference letter from El Paso. Paid doctors fees, trying to pay hospital fees in advance but EL paso told me I'm gonna pay an extra $250 for that. Is it wise? Budget as shown on spreadsheet is $9700 , account statement on her name has a closing balance of 6.5M. Should we add hubby's own which has a closing bal of about 2M? |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by LadyGuinivere: 7:07am On Mar 30, 2016 |
ifyalways:To pay doctor's fees before visa? Mba O! Not wise. $9,7000 at black market rate is like 3.1m so the. 6.5m is ok o. In my opinion, whether to add husband's statement depends on who she filled is sponsoring on the ds 160. If she filled it was a joint Thingie then yes let her add his own statement. |
