Morning everyone , actually I'm very new on this page and joined nairaland like some days ago. But I will like to ask or know if anyone is still following this thread or how does it work because I see people not contributing again or following !!!
I said that because I did not see a reply to my question till the date of my interview and till now that im writing back here.

I click yes at my journey plan which a lot of people will say no buh that was the question I'm trying to ask on this thread buh no1 answer me .

hello house pls who has done dropbox recently,i did on the 6th and my case went from no status to ready on 7th and to administrative processing on 8th and since den the date hasn't moved on ceac website and status hasn't changed,checked for my passport and yesterday it says delivered to post and today no status update for the passport number submitted. please what do u ppl tnk

Good day house, i did dropbox renewal on Teusday(13/12/2016) for my kids and the visa status check is showing Ready, does it mean is ready for pick up as dhl office. Thanks.

It becomes a little bit confusing here. It ought to have changed to "ISSUED" if there weren't issues.

Well, I see you have been a lot worried, i doubt if I would be wrong about my following assumptions though, it seems you have been called for an interview now despite your hope against such. Check your email, also log into the ceac website to read their message to you. Your passport should be at DHL with an interview letter accompanying! Go get, and face your interview successfully. All the best!

N.B: You may have to either tell us now what your worries are or do so later. Did you overstay, did you birth in the US, did you have issues with the US immigration or police or law enforcement agencies generally, etc?

my cousin is the US navy and he wants to send me an invite for tourism but I feel if I go through a conference it will be better cos am single (25 next year)hence the ties are shaky but I have a well paying job, over ten thousand dollars in my acct($10,000) and close to a million in my naira acct. Studied agriculture and I work as a sales and marketing manager of my firm.
Which of the two options is better considering my age and other factors

my question is; is this reason for visiting the united state tenable enough in the VO thinking and past testimony?

wont my brother's status work against me?

i know you are not the VO but what are my chances?

i work with government and earn about 200k plus a moth

i welcome a critical analysis from concerned members, thanks.

Good morning Nairalanders! I'm posting this at this hour because this is the time I have finally gotten time to myself. It has been a hectic day! I have read this thread over and over and I may have asked a few questions 3 years ago. This place I must say had very insightful information. Very proud of what you guys are doing and welldone.
First off let me start with my profile

I am 26year old lady.
First degree in the UK
Works at one of the Big 4 consulting Firms
Refused visa to the US twice (First time when I was about 10, second time in 2011 when I was studying in the UK)
Parents are American Citizens now.( just got their citizenship last year )
Big brother is an American by work
I don't have an immigrant petition
I was at the embassy today (16th) for my visa interview and the questions asked were not the ones I prepared for as per the frequent ones that appear here on nairaland.
The interview is as follows

Vo: Your Passport pls
Me: pass my passport
Vo: why are you going to America
Me: to spend Christmas with my parents and brother
Vo: your brother? I he a US citizen?
Me: yes he is
Vo: how did he get his citizenship
Me: through work
Vo: oh ok he got h1 blah blah
Me: I'm not sure exactly what visa category it was or he transitioned to
Vo: so you work as an accountant
Me : (correcting him) auditor
Vo: asks a lot of accounting questions I answer
Vo: how is it working in your company
Me: very stressful the job is demanding but you learn a lot.
Vo: so have you thought of applying to one of the offices in the US since your company has presence there
Me : no I haven't thought of doing that and I don't intend to
Vo: I'm going to issue you your visa
Hands me white paper.
My transcript is this long because I really want people to learn from it. I honestly know it's God's favour. I mean look at my profile. Infact my interview date was so close to my travel date, did interview 16th, intending to travel on the 21/22. Thank you everyone that has contributed meaningfully to this thread with questions and answers, helping to provide insights. Anyways I wish you guys the best and happy holidays.

Are you an adult? If yes. You will apply and be interviewed alone.
No. Your brother will not be allowed into the embassy because he has no business there.
It might help if you scanned through the US embassy website. All the info you need is there.
