The school has decided to embark on a "mid semester break" following the early morning protest. All entrances to the school have been sealed and students are asked to vacate the hostels before 6pm today. Today's protest nearly resulted in a riot; a second in four years. The last riot came few weeks after the current VC Prof. James Epoke assumed office while today's averted riot comes few weeks to his vacating office. The students are protesting against hike in school charges, unfavourable learning environment, lack of light and water, frustration and intimidation by lecturers.
