Arsenal last night revived its UEFA Champions League campaign with a deserved 2-0 home victory over star studded Bayern Munich at the Emirates.
Arsenal went ahead in the 77th minute through substitute Oliver Giroud only for Ozil to bang in the second on the dot of time. The goal may not have counted but thanks to goal-line technology, the referee was able to quickly take the right decision of pointing to the centre.
In the other match of the group, Nigerian international, Brown Ideye, was on target as Olypiakos secured a 1-0 away victory over Dynamo Zagreb. The victory makes things still difficult for Arsenal as Olympiakos will now go into her next game with six points as against Arsenal’s three. As things stand in the group, the Gunners need to beat Bayern again in the reverse fixture to ensure qualification for the knock out stage.
Defending champion, Barcelona continued its fine run in the competition with a comfortable 2-0 away victory over BATE with Ivan Rakitic scoring a brace.
It was goals harvest in Germany as Bayer Leverkussen and Roma settled for a 4-4 draw.
Action continues today with the PSG, Real Madrid clash being the star match.

Op, you are wrong. Ozil's goal wasn't determined by goal-line technology but by the extra referee provided by Uefa.
