The parable of the 10virgins teaches us to be careful and watchful for his coming. No presumptuousness, no rest, no unguarded moments, completely ready at all times in holiness.

The parable of the talents mean that all of us have been given talents that we must multiply; the talents are our insights into the Word of God. We have all been given a measure of talent, and we are expected to multiply the measure we have been given to make it bigger and greater.
