Is it a wise idea for someone to invest/acqiure a land to be developed from a real estate developer within an estate?


Here, i'm refering to all those real estate firms that acquire large expanse of land, & seeking for those who will acquire portions & develop it. In most cases, after acquisition, you still hav to pay some fee if left un(der)developed, maintenance, & they request for commission if u decide to resell...


Some engage marketers who are paid on commission. While others like Gosgra properties, pay some staff... One of them @ Opebi area of Ikeja, Lagos, (PWA Homes), take advantage of 'jobseekers' by asking them to pay some money so as to become their marketing consultants...


Most of these job-seeking marketers are willing to own such businesses, & marketing 'independent' land & properties in d future, but they end up being frustrated out of it because they only focus on developing the expanse of land...


Now, as an investor in those properties, you're still like a tenant because after completion, d estate still belongs to the developers, as compared to you acquiring a land independently, & developing it to yr taste...


So let's share our thot on this. Is it a good idea to patronise such estate developers??

Gosgra is a scam. A friend made outright payment for this your miserable Ikorodu estate since April but he has not received allocation up till now! Can you explain why this is so?
