Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has said:
the gap between the leaders and the people
always cause the failure in governance in Nigeria.
He added that the only way Nigeria can make
progress is for the leaders to humble themselves
and come to the level of the led.

The governor made the comment in Ado-Ekiti while having an interface with the leadership of the state chapter of the Nigerian Union of
Road Transport Workers .

The governor said many Nigerian leaders fail in office because they get carried away with the
grandeur of office and forget the people they
lead.

"The only way we can make the nation progress
is for the leaders to humble themselves and
come to the level of those being led. When
they do that, they will know what the people
need and be able to meet those needs”
